This number calls me every day on my cell phone.  I have picked up some times, and there appears to be no one on the other end of the call.  I usually don't pick up now, and the caller does not leave a message.

It is a collection agency called IC Systems.

These clowns from this IC system are constantly calling me also, leave no message. I found that it is a collection agency, but I have a perfect credit rating and do not owe anyone. I am getting fed up, is there any legal way to prevent this harassment?

I received a call from these guys today and they refused to identify who they are, what they do and what they want.  Initially when I answered a woman kept repeating my name and asking if that name was me.  I refused to answer and demanded that she identify herself, she said she is from ICS Services. I said who are they what do they do and what do you want.  She refused to answer and kept repeating the same question, I said you sound nefarious and if you do not answer my questions I am going to hang up!  Another operator got on the line and different accent, asking the same questions and then demanding my address,  I said look, you sound corrupt and I am not answering any of your questions until you fully identity yourselves , and what your company does. They refused, I said I am not giving you any information since I have no idea who and what you are.  I suspect they are a collection agency from a sleazy company who defrauded me with a great travel deal who could not deliver and I stopped my automatic payments.  The company in question is so unethical that they need to be taught a lesson which I will work on doing for them.

My suggestions, do not answer even basic questions with them or you will never get rid of them! They are a third party who is not a part of my contract and are unable to resolve any dispute.

I also get at least one call daily from this number.  My number is fairly new and have not given it out to any company, so even if anyone had turn my number to a collection agency (I don't owe to anyone), they would not be looking for me.  

Call me conspiracy theorist, but I'm suspicious that since so many people are in financial trouble in these hard times, this may be a scam to collect information - allegedly with the purpose of straightening up a dispute.  They may get some naive people to start giving out information and putting themselves in deeper trouble.

I agree that no one should give out any information over the phone.
