- Bea| 1 replyI answered after this number has been calling my home for weeks. The person on the other line kept asking for a family member (who does live in the home), but I told them I was not her (because I'm not). They hung up as I asked who was calling and if I could take a message.
I read Megan's post where she said she called back and listened to the automated message and selected the prompt to be put on the Do Not Call list so you do not get called for their 'promotions'. Not only is that annoying, but our phone number is on the national Do Not Call list. I'm going to check the DND list to make sure our numbers are still on it. If the number is still on it, then it should be illegal for telemarketers to be calling me. This goes beyond annoying ... they were calling my home several times a day.- Caller: unknown
- Call type: Telemarketer
- anonymous replies to BeaHonest telemarketers use the DoNotCall Registry, abusive telemarketers and scammers do not. Am guessing the call is from a debt collector.
- NPGot a call from this number twice today.
The first time the woman on the other line said she is calling from National Diabetics Association (or something along those lines) tried to sell me a device of some sort. I told her I do not have diabetes and she apologized and hung up.
Second time she called, I told her I spoke to her this morning and told her I do not have diabetes and to please take me off her calling list.
I am wondering how in the world they got my cell phone number?!?- Call type: Telemarketer
- Anna| 1 replyCalling every day now. No message. We are seniors - on the DNC list and do not now, nor have we ever had delinquent accounts. I have reported some such calls to FCC, but get a form letter in return saying the calls don't qualify for action. I don't believe it. Nothing helps except blocking these numbers - which I will continue to do.
- Caller: none given
- AlexVery insistent callers who apparently disregard the DNC list. I've been called a half dozen times, sometimes at intervals of 90 minutes to 2 hours, and as early as 7:30 in the morning. I think calling back and dialing 1 to be taken off their list only identifies you as a living, breathing "mark." The callers appear to be outsourced (one told me she was in the Philippines).

- Annoyed in HoustonCalls as often as every two hours or less; caller id shows "IMPORTANT CALL;" never leave a message. (Our number is on the DNC list.)
We are recording and taking pictures of our caller id window everytime they call, so we can after them for the compensation allowed under the law.- Caller: "IMPORTANT CALL" ?!
- AAIn the last 2 days this number has called me 21 times!!!!! I am on the DNC list as well! Beyond annoying!!!!!!
- PamI am so sick of these people calling my cell phone, I only have 700 minutes a month, and these people keep calling me. I have told them twice today to STOP callingme.
- brianI guess it doesn't matter that you are on the DND list as my cell is getting these calls as well and I refuse to answer them. To bad we couldn't get a class action suit going!
- Caller: unknown
- Sheri BlairNo message just keep calling.
- Caller: no sure telemarketing I think
- Blackcat99I have been getting phone calls from this number for over 6 months. They usually call me 3-4 times every single day. I am on the do not call list too. I am so sick of them calling me. What in God's name do I have to do to get them to stop calling me???????? This is stalking-This is harassment-This is invasion of privacy. This violates my right to be left alone.
- Megan.....again.So today I have received 9 calls since 8:00 this morning. The last time she called, I expressed I worked for a law firm, that I am documenting everything that has occurred and have my people working on finding out more information on who this harassing, low-life telemarketer is so we can pursue legal action against them/her. This has gone far enough. Being polite will not work and the word "please" is not in the this woman's vocabulary.

- Call type: Telemarketer
- ggmaI don't answer any calls from numbers I don't recognize and especially when the name is "Important Message". That in itself tells me it is either a scam or other telemarketing. So far they have only called once. Hope it stays that way.

- JenniferI got a call from this number last week on Tuesday, I could barely understand the woman on the other line because her accent was so heavy, but she said she was from the National Diabetic Association, or something like that. Then she said "maybe you've seen our advertisement". Uh, NO!!! She called my CELL PHONE which annoys me, AND she knew my first name. So, I am wondering HOW they got this information. I told her last week that I thought she had called the wrong person, and that she was calling my cell phone. Then this morning, they called 3 more times. Once I didn't get to the phone in time, but they didn't leave a message, the second call, I answered, but no one was on the line. The third time, I answered and it was THE SAME WOMAN! I told her to NOT call me again, and that she was calling my cell phone. I hung up on her while she was still talking, so I don't know what her response was.

- latebloomer| 3 repliesHow does a person block a number from their cell phone? Is it even possible? That seems the only choice if possible....
- Caller: verizon
- poly replies to latebloomerits possible. call your cell phone carrier and they will tell you how. sometimes there is a small fee for it though.
- Ernie| 1 replyIf you want to stop the calls don't use the Do Not Call List complaint method. File a complaint directly with the FTC (Federal Trade Commission). They act quickly on this type of complaint.
- Rod H.I have received two calls from this number and did not answer them due to the area code.
No message was left and when I tried to redial it would not go through.
I will not answer this number no matter how many times they call, I will eventually block this number.- Caller: ???
- Paula replies to latebloomer| 1 replyGo to your account home page and scroll down to the bottom. Under "plan" there is a box at the bottom that says block calls and messages. Click on that and you can block up to 5 numbers. If you have more than one line on your account make sure your number is the one selected before going into the block calls and messages box. Hope this helps! I love this service. It comes in very handy.
- Paula replies to PaulaVerizon does not charge for blocking calls anymore. They were for a short time and then waived the fees.
