Call came at meal time.  When I answered, there was no response.  Put the phone on speaker and 'mute' and walked away.  After a minute, 'Ken' said hello and, of course, got no answer.  Pretty soon, he was asking, "Are you there?"  Yeah, I'm sitting here eating and laughing at you.

Guess robocallers are trying to be imaginative.  It came up as "BINCOMING CALL" on the caller ID.  By the way, why isn't "Scam" or "Likely Scam" on the Call Type pulldown list?  I don't like having to leave it at "Unknown" if I'm sure it doesn't belong in a legitimate category.

Picked up a call from this number yesterday.  It was some sort of Police Society wanting money.  I told the guy "no" and hung up.  They called again today.  I didn't answer this time.

    I don't known anyone named "Bincoming Call"...so I didn't answer.
I wonder what the "B" in "Bincoming Call" means?

I found a solution to this problem. Because most of these calls are being generated by a computer. There is something called Special Information Tones or SIT code,  which the phone company plays to identify a non-working number.  They are played  just before a voice recording says, "...the number you have dialed is no longer in service... When automatic dialer hears the SIT tone, it hangs up and takes your phone number off their list" I Googled SIT code wav and found one. Downloaded it and added it to the beginning of my answering machine greeting. I used to get a dozen calls a day from telemarketers.  Within a week of playing these notes on my answering machine message, I get none!

They stated they had a report my network had issues and wanted me to go online with them.  I hung up and called my network and no issues were on record.  Some kind of scam.

This number called my DNC listed landline today at 0944 hours.  (Scam artists don't care about the DNC, of course, because they're criminals.)  As 99% of the calls I get on my landline are scam artists, I always assume an unfamiliar number is yet another one.  When I see an unfamiliar number, like this one, I pick up the phone but say nothing.  This usually - but not always - prevents a robo-message from activating and the call disconnects by itself after a moment, as happened with this call.  So, apparently it was either a robo-message waiting for me to speak or a system that waits for a voice before transferring the call to a waiting scammer/spammer.

Sit tones are used to identify and precede specific Communication Network Recordings for 'smart' devices which may be utilizing the network. Tones would precede vacant(Intercept) numbers dialed, all paths busy like on Mother's Day, etc. Each specific tone set couples with a specific recording type. Google 'Intercept SIT tones.

BINCOMING CALL --- who?  I answer phone .....and wait for a human to finally come on board .... his name is Endori ....who?  Asking for $15 donation when I get my envelope in mail,  soliciting funds for law enforcement families who have lost someone.  I say "no".  He takes a breath and then continues right on his way giving me the pitch.  I said "wait!  you heard what I said" and then I signed off and went immediately to blocking this number on my phone
