On caller ID but they left no message. I called back and got recording saying it is a disconnected number belonging to Pacific Telecommunication Group. Tried to look that up. No telemarketer or other with that name. Closest was a communication  center for high profile gov. cell phones on some mountain in Washington? The area code is 701 which is supposed to be a Delaware area code though. If the number is a disconnected number how could someone be using it to call our phone? Not sure what kind of scam someone is trying to pull or why but we'll try to answer quicker next time to find out and we'll post it here. We're reporting this number everywhere too.

Looked around some and many many others have reported this company name as originator of telemarketing calls with a gazillion phone numbers but those people who have called this company said the company is NOT the originator of these calls. Someone said these are spoofed numbers. Not aware of how that works and don't care to be but there are so many telemarketers and all are NOT honest and can make it look like the call they made to you came from somewhere else that it did not come from. You can report it to the authorities but there doesn't seem to be much they can do to track down these type of callers. Best thing then is the usual. If we don't recognize the caller, we shouldn't answer the phone. If it is from anyone legitimate they would leave a name and number for us to call them back if we want to or we should. There is no way to stop calls like that except to have the number blocked and if they call so many times that it is necessary to do that, do it. Otherwise just list those numbers here, report to whomever if you care that much, and know it's a spoofed number so ignore. It's not really Pacific anything. That seems like a form of identity theft of this companys old info. Bottom line. Something phoney.Ignore.

Yes I got a call from this number.. I didn't answer then my phone then it went to v-mail and whoever it was didn't talk--all I heard was someone chewing food or something..   Just stop calling or leave a message so I know who you are....

I got a call from this number even though I am on a do not call list. The caller is trying to sell life insurance or a savings plan marketed as insurance. When I said that all of my relatives are dead, so there would be no beneficiary for them to cheat out of any policy payments that I made, the woman said thank you and ended the call. Don't accept this insurance plan. It is probably a scam. Only scam artists violate do not call lists, which defeats the purpose of the list.

I didn't answer the call since it wasn't anyone I know.  My caller ID said North Dakota Call, I don't know anyone in ND.

Like Jim R said, these are scam artists.  If they are legit, they will leave a message.

I think the Do Not Call List is unable to prevent this anymore. Their technology is probably out of date.
Scammers, spoofers, etc can get around it or we wouldn't be bombarded with this stuff.

When I do answer a call from someone I don't know, I listen for a few seconds (background noise says it all) and DO NOT ENGAGE in conversation with them.  They usually hang up on me, so I know they're up to no good.

Don't bother telling them about the do not call list, or waste your time arguing about reporting them to the FCC or the attorney general.  They don't care and they just move on.
