- ladagosta| 1 replyfor the past several days I am getting calls asking for my son who previously had debt and paid it back via a legal service where they agreed on the terms for paying back an agreed amount of the debt. he hired an attorney to clear up his credit profile last year and since then we keep getting random calls. His debts are satisfied so I know these calls are considered harassment of some sort I would like if they would give me their name and address so I can report them, but when i ask they never answer,, which leaves me the option of hanging up I don't deal with people who ask for information and do not supply any in return. that is unacceptable behavior in my opinion.

- shannonWe just purchased a used iphone and have not had it but a week now. We are using it as a hotspot and an emergency phone. I did not pick up the call but whoever it is will call from this number several times per day from Fargo, ND.
- annoyedLately we get calls from this number several times per day. I never pick up because I don't know anyone in Fargo, ND so assume its either a telemarketing firm or a debt collector.
- LolaCaller ID said it was IC System, no message is ever left, but have received calls from this number several times. What I don't understand is if they call & no one answers, why can't they take a hint that no one will ever answer?!?

- CaliThis number calls me several times a day. The first time I picked up, they asked for some lady and said her name. I told them they had the wrong number. They then asked me if i knew where she could be reached. I told them I didnt know. Since then they've been calling me several times a day, for a couple of weeks now. I've blocked the number but my phone still notifice me after they've called me. They come up as calling from North Dakota.

- GateKeeper| 1 replyAll debt collectors are required by law to send you a DEBT VALIDATION. This is sent through the USPS ONLY (email, text, faxes, carrier pigeons, smoke signals...none of those count) and state when you incurred the debt, to whom you owe the original debt, and how to proceed should you not recognize the amount.
This must be sent within 5 days of the first time the company attempts to contact you.
REAL DEBT COLLECTORS SEND THIS. Scammers do not.
A few other things to know-
-You cannot be arrested for ordinary debt in the United States.
-Process servers do not call in advance. They only get paid if they deliver you papers the court (not a private company) has ordered be delivered, and if you flee, they don't get paid. Therefore, they do not call ahead of their arrival.
-Likewise, officers do not call you to tell you they will be arresting you. Why would they?

- KittyBrand new phone and this number has called me twice today so far. Even if they are legit, they obviously aren't looking for me.
- MichelleThis number continuously calls the line of my 11-year old son. When I call them to get the calls to stop, they say they have never called the number because it isn't in their database. Yet, they have called 17 times in the last month from two separate numbers. Very rude and told me I am lying.
- Caller: They will not give that information.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- TEM replies to GateKeeperThanks so much for the information.
- angela411Got a new phone # recently. Whoever had it before must have had unpaid debts as I'm receiving these collection calls. Some of these companies actually believe me that I have a newly assigned number and remove me from their list.
This company (IC System) will not do this voluntarily which doesn't surprise me. They seem to employ very juvenile and sarcastic young kids so I don't hold much hope outside of a C & D letter which wastes my time and money.- Caller: IC System
