automated scam message about placind an ad with Google.

Got a call from this number...didn't answer. Glad I didn't after checking here. These types of calls are annoying...the people responsible for this kind of bulls$#@ are SCUMBAGS!!!

Caller ID read "Out of Area". I answered with company greeting and there was dead air. The call disconnected shortly thereafter. Are they just calling Texas numbers?

I received a call from 701-661-3805 and when I answered it there was no one on the line.  My Caller ID provided the number.  It is not right for people to make calls like that and bother people.

Received a call from 701-661-3805.  When I answered they hung up.  Nothing like running for the phone and then they hang up on you.  I don't know who it was, but I'm getting pretty fed up with these types of calls.

I get calls from 701-661-3805 up to two times a day - when i answer the call is then disconnected. 503-468-5227 is another number (caller ID shows to be from OTO) that I get many many calls from. I'm on the do-not-call list and do not understand why I keep getting these calls - is there anything I can do to end these ghost calls?

Got another call from this number on my work phone.  Answer and there is silence on the other end, then they just hang up

I got the call this morning on my work phone in Oklahoma.  It was Google.

robo call from spammer/scammer implying they are related to google.

I called back and got a computerized voice saying I could press "1" to stop the calls. After that, it said I would be off the list within 24 hours. We'll see!

Change your phone number and request a private non-published phone number. Once these businesses get your number they'll keep calling. If you are a business person who publishes your phone number in any context you're probably outside the no-call list parameters. Why? When you publish your phone number for business purposes you create a business relationship with anyone who has internet access, thus the do-not-call list regulation does not apply to you.

Really the easiest way to deal with these phone calls is to ignore them. Even an unpublished number can be compromised and a phone company will charge you for an unpublished/private number.

The other action I'm considering is changing my cell phone number, obtaining a Google phone number and ONLY giving out the Google phone number.

Instead he hides in the dark shadows, scared of his own shadow, via a periodically changing cell phone, hacking off the rest of us. DO NOT ASSOCIATE YOURSELF WITH DIRTBAGS OF THIS ILK.

I'm am tagging this as a Prank Call - given the absolute hiding-in-the-shadows scum bag. I don't care if this is for purported search optimization. These days everyone and his mother is peddling this, right up there with snake oil, and ObamaCare. You see where that's getting us....
