CAlled my phone from Kopolow law firm.  Just a fraud looking for information.

A John Hudson who claims to be an attorney has been calling people I know trying to find my number. It's fraud

called my home left a message on my answering machine, sounded confrontational and my boss telling me i had to call him that day.  didn't say why he was calling just to call that day.

Somebody called to my cell phone and my house asking for me.  They mentioned the last 4 digits of a SSN and a DOB, which were wrong.  IT is fraud.  Somebody called my wife; her number is under my name.

called looking for a person that does not live at this number, but with the same last name asking for a return call ASAP. Stated to be Atty,Kopolow.

called and left message

Has called my home the last two days looking for my daughter will not tell why they are calling. The first callers name was Ryan Costa the 2nd caller was Josh Stevens. Also will not tell how they got my phone number.

I received a voice mail from a Brandon Wright who said he was from the law office of Atty. Steven Kopolow (Kopolow Law). He wanted to know if I had information about where this certain person was (person was my ex-husband but he just said his name) and that it was important that I call him ASAP since they needed to contact him. I called back and said that I had not been in contact with him for some 20+ years. He gave me no info and was rather short. I was sorry I had returned this call.  Knowing my ex, he could be in any kind of trouble, DUI, money, you name it. I'm sure that this Kopolow (or whoever he is), problably just did a background search on my ex and found out I was part of his past.

We have been getting calls now for over a month from the "kopolow law firm" Franklin Hill is the main caller and then he passes me off to Josh Stevens and Jim Lehey(sp?) They say they are a law firm collecting debts.  We have been threatend over and over, these guys know all of our info- they told us "we know you pay "this amount" to capital one, this much for a wachovia loan, this much to chrysler financial and so on.  They tried to strong arm us into paying them with the threat this will go to court (we only owe $2200) They didnt sound very legit much less professional.  We started to ignore the phone calls (they started asking for our checking account numbers) They call my husband at his job sometimes 25 times a day!!!  The final straw was when our neighbor knocked on our door on Saturday with a phone message from THE KOPOLOW LAW FIRM they have gone too far.  Not really sure what to do to get rid of them.  They have my husbands social, etc. He is calling the federal trade commission today!  Thank God I found this posting about others in the same boat as us.

The "Law Offices of Stephen Kopolow" is a collections agency. One company that I know for sure that they work for is FIA Card Services. They are located in Nevada, which is not that hard to figure out based on the area code. I'm not surprised that they do all the things that people have posted about on here. They are very unprofessional, arguing and threatening. I guess in the collections field that would be considered professional. It looks like they probably buy overdue credit card accounts off of credit card companies and become responsible for getting the money back from the cardholder. They are a "legitmate collections agency", but its my belief that they are also invloved in illegal activity, or at least shady and immoral activities.

They actually handled an overdue account of mine that was only $500, so they obviously dont handle big accounts. Their employee turnover rate seems to be high as well. Unless you have an overdue credit card account dont bother answering the number 702-228-1486 because its probably a fraud phone call collecting personal information.

Called looking for someone who was a neighbor a few years ago.  Started questioning me.  When I said "this is a fishing exposition and I am ending the call"  Brian Wright called back!!! He was rude and only wanted info.
