Keep getting a phone call from this number but they do not leave a message. Number is listed as belonging to "TopPositions.org" - an internet marketing search engine company. I have no idea how they got my number.

yes they called me saying it was with regards to my website...left a message too.

i received a call from this number saying "this is amber, i was calling you about arbonne, please call me as soon as possible, i look forward to talking with you."  the number she left was 877-694-3726, i called both that number and the number on caller id, the 702-425-5878 and got the same recording.  no idea what this company is about.  i was under the impression she wanted to talk to me about my company, buying products, etc.

I got the same thing.  She said her name was Amber and that she wanted to talk to me about the MLM company that I belong to, but which I don't actively develop.  My number is on my MLM web site so that's how she must have gotten my number.

I think this is a company that markets business development products & services.  I've gotten these kinds of calls before, but they garner your interest by sounding like they are a client.

Yep, same thing for me yesterday except her hame was Bethany. I have a number of pet health and nutrition companies and I guess the times are getting tough for Internet marketing companies. People are out trying to drum up more business. I never returned their calls for this since they say they'll get me placed high in search engine rankings...then they call another distributor in my area of business and promise them the same thing! Guess what happens to my rankings then, even if they could get me placed higher up to begin with.

I got the same call today from Bethany.  "Hi, this is Bethany and I was just looking at your Southern Living at HOME website and I have a few questions.  The best place to reach me is at work.  Please call me back at 877-694-3726."  I did NOT call back - decided to Google it first. :-)

Just got the same call as Alana...googled the number too.  Good thing! I won't be calling them back.

Someone named Ann Marie is calling me from her business in what sounds like a room full of telemarketers all talking at the same time.  She claims she would like to speak to me regarding my home business.   First all dear Ann Marie, if you are calling me from a 702 area code or some 877 toll free number you are outside of the area I would sell to directly (if I had a business).   If you are a business playing games, be worned I will turn in to the FCC for using disceptive practices to

Just got a call from them. Apparently we've gotten on some kind of suckers list.

Just got this call a minute ago.  The lady identified herself as Samantha, all she said that she's seen my website and has a few questions and to call her back.  Sounded like a call center going by the background noise.

Got this call yesterday. The lady identified herself as Amber. Said she had been on my web site and was interested in the program. Then she said she was at work and that the best way to reach her was at home. Left a number. This was a voice mail message that I decided to google and check out before calling back. Glad I did.

Received two calls so far from this number and a lady identifying herself as Amber. Like others have mentioned, she said she wanted to talk with me about my MLM business.

Seems that is the commonality.  I, too, received a call about 5 minutes ago. It really throws you off because I actually get a lot of calls from genuine people that are calling from their workplace.  The lady that called me was Yvonne and love the fact that she mentioned that she is actually from her work calling, so call her at the 877 toll free number.

I just got a call from these folks thinking it was my upline from Colorado.  Turns out it was someone named Stephanie representing an organization called Top Position.  I WAS in a good mood when it started so I let her talk.  Then she just wouldn't stop.  I finally hung up and her "campaign manager" called me back.

It's a huge scam.  They tell you to enter some keywords to search on.  Magically keywords like "Mineral Makeup" and "Botanical Skin Care" are available.  <sarcasm> "Oh, golly gee wiz, it's the chance of a lifetime!!!  I'll be above Sephora, Ulta, and Bare Essentials in the results.  LOL!!!!!" </sarcasm>  They take you to a magic screen where you see the REAL search results below, but your site on top.  It's just a split screen where they're displaying whatever they want on top to make you think it's really working.  LOL!!!!  I kept asking "Well, how does anybody know to use this special search engine."  It's a magic tool bar that 30 million people have already downloaded.  Yeah, right!!!  Let me guess . . . none of them are actually using it, right?

Does anybody really use those silly toolbars?  My kids are always downloading them and I delete them asap from my computer all the time.  I'm strictly a google girl.

Thanks for the feedback, Chris.  Love your hilarious post.  There are a lot of misinformed people out there that do not really know how search engines work, so they prey on it.

As a Real Estate Broker/Owner, I get tons of these emails and direct calls.  One time I had a "Manager" call me directly on my cell saying that he had a buyer referral for me that's relocating to my city.  I let him talk for awhile and then did his pitch about how it only costs $1500/month to get my name on their website where thousands of buyers visit.  

I quickly check his site while I was on the phone with him and using my tool, I can see that his site was only 4 months old.  And then the clincher.  He says go to google and type "I need a Realtor" without the quotes. He states that they are naturally #1 for that keyword.  And to notice that they are on top of the results.  So I quickly told him that I see that they paid the highest on Google adwords just so they can be on top and I even mentioned to him that the choice of keywords are useless anyway.  All I hear in the background is a giggle and moments later they hang up.  

Sorry for the long message. Never got a chance to mention this story.

Asked me to call her back "at work" at her toll-free number (877-694-3726 extension 1).

Yep, I just got the same call from Amber. I thought she was wanting information on my business, Stella & Dot. Looks like she is telemarketing. I'm glad I found this site. I won't be calling back, either.

Got call yesterday from Byron and it sounded fishy...mainly b/c the called id has this number as posted and then he tells me to call another toll-free number. I didn't bother.

I'm glad I've gotten enough of these that I looked it up first. What a time waster it would have been calling back. They're apparently culling names from legitimate web sites. The message left was what is stated above, "This is Bethany, blah blah blah" and she left the 877-694-3726 ext 1 number. Scamming jerks.
