Received call from a Paul Morgan at 702 516 0409, 2 days ago. He reported that he was calling from American Publishers Sweepstakes (APS) and my mother had won $$ and a Mercedes. Mother was not available so he asked for her to call him back at above number. I ignored the message so he called again today saying mother had won 5.5 million US$ in Sydney Australia Lottery and he was calling on behalf of APS & CPS. He talked for an hour describing the car in detail and talking about taxes the company had pre paid on the money before he finally asked me to send C$880 through Western Union for Gov't International Transfer fees to a Jennnifer Griffey, 13541 State Route 122, Somerville, Ohio. When I asked why the C$880 couldn't be deducted from the winnings he said they were legally required to pay out the 5.5 mill in full. He wanted the money transfer done immediately so he could hop a private jet to deliver the car and winning cheque today. The car is supposedly in Vancouver BC. I know it is not physically possible for it to arrive here today unless the private jet is a 747. He called back 30 minutes later to see if I had left for the Western Union office because his jet was on standbye! I told him that it was illegal to ask for money to be paid up front for lottery winnings and he said it was a raffle not a  lottery. Many, many red flags!

Beware this is definitely a scam. Paul Morgan called 13 times yesterday looking for the Western Union confirmation number of my $880 transfer. I didn't answer. He called at 8.30 am today & I told him he was a scammer & I had contacted RCMP. 1st he didn't know who RCMP were & it didn't faze him one bit. Still looking for his $880, when I told him it wasn't happening he reduced it to $440 and said money was for US taxes because money is in Mercantile Bank, Somerville, Ohio. Somerville is a small town and a Google search tells me there is only one bank and it is not Mercantile. Map search for address picks out a plush rural homestead. Now why would a lottery win from Australia coming to Canada be laundered through Ohio? There is no such lottery as the Sydney Australia Lottery. He also said the prize patrol & Mercedes was now in town awaiting delivery after I confirmed the $$ transfer. I guess the Merc has jet engines to travel 2,000 miles from Vancouver in 18 hrs. Guy is so stupid he can't even research his nonsense so that it is is credible. I called Canadian Anti Fraud Centre (RCMP) this guy is already on file as a scammer! Unfortunately he is probably ripping off someone else as I type this. He has since called 3 more times; I picked up phone, said nothing and when I recognized his voice I hung up. Hopefully he has now given up.
