Recorded message informing me that my vehicle warranty has expired "but it's not too late to renew." I have received and ignored this call at least 5-10 times in the past two years. This time, I waited on the line to speak with a person to ask that I be removed from their mail/phone list(s). A male (sounding African American), answered asking for the yr/make/model of my vehicle then put me on hold "to find out why I called." When he returned, without asking for any further information, went into great detail about the warranty I am still eligable for, what it covers, and the cost of the 36 month/36,000 mile warranty (whichever comes first). Highly suspicous since he didn't ask who I was, where I lived, when I bought the truck, etc. (nothing). He asked if I've been receiving the "final notice" postcards of which I have probably received more than ten since I bought the truck two years ago this month (5/08). When he asked me to get a pen and piece of paper to go over the details of the financing and payments for this $3,000+, 36 month warranty, I explained that I was actually responding to the recorded message because I don't want to receive anymore "final notice" postcards or phone calls and to please close out my file. Before my sentence was complete, he hung up on me without acknowledging me or informing me that my file would be closed.
