I got several calls from this number too...been getting calls from several different numbers like this for the past month - same message from 'Chris St. James' of Broadcomm. I called my service provider, Verizon Wireless, and they stated I should call the do not call list at 888-382-1222 (or donotcall.gov) to add my number to the list of no-call numbers. I didn't think I needed to do this because I had a cell phone but I was told that has been changed at the end of last year, all phone numbers can now be part of the telemarketing lists.
I have been getting these calls for a month or two now. They say they are a debt help place or something, pretty fishy to be getting them when we have never even owned a credit card. It Is a bunch of foreign speaking people that hang up on you when asked to remove you from their list. Or they say they will and hang up, but you keep getting the calls. I have also tried asking to speak to an agent or supervisor, only to be hung up on. There has got to be a way to get these calls to stop. I registered my number on donotcall.gov today, hopefully this will help. Any other ideas are welcome.
Same thing happened to me; I pressed '1' to be removed from the list only to talk to the a foreign guy who hung up on me. I called back probably 20 times after that trying to get my name removed or to speak to a manager, and they hung up every time. Also, the same guy would answer the phone every time I called only give himself a different name. This has to be illegal, has anybody been able to trace this number?
I'm not sure, but I think this company is soliciting CHILD PORNOGRAPHY... they started with a debt consolidation pitch, but things soon turned shocking!
I received a phone call, only moments ago from the number 1-702-520-1396 and all I could hear was music and each time I would say "hello",no one would answer.I hung up the phone,so I have no idea who this call was from.It was only last night that I posted about the calls I have been getting from Air Tite.I wish I didn't need a phone!! I called my residence phone company about the number 702- 520-1396 and I was given this number to call....Annoyance Call Bureau 1-800-769-4099(hrs.8a.m.-5p.m.).I don't know if this number is for every area, but it's worth a try.
they called me while i was at work. i didn't answer because that was the responsible thing to do. i am quite certain that i have been contacted by this number before. annoying.
I missed a call from them so I called them back there was some really annoying music and a woman African or really Americanized Indian accent anserd with a life insurance greetin. I told her I wanted off her call list she said thank you good bye and hung up. I called right back hit the redial button on my phone and I got the greeting Argosie Cruises when we work for you! its a crap number dont answer and for pete's sake dont buy anything from them
wtf man, I got this number a few days ago at work, and it was a message from someone called 'Chris StJames @ Broadcom'. It's apparently a scam or something. I get this same message from other phone numbers (5622898155 and 9098428170) and other people have had calls from this 'person' too. It sounds like it's some sort of scam or something, I'm not sure. Either way, it's bs, they call me at my job.
Got this too, about 30 mins ago. Called back, and of course the service they're advertising is different, but it's the same woman on the phone. Told her to remove me a second time, was hung up on. Called back again, but this time acted interested, and I got a company name, "Morgan Debt Reduction". When I asked where they were located, they hung up on me again. Filed this number with the FCC. You should do the same.
Calls repeately, last called at 8:10 AM, Tueday March 26. Have ask them to remove our number from their call list. This call is more than annonying it is nothing more than harassing. dub
Received a call from this number. The recording started as soon as I picked up the phone, so I didn't hear the beginning of the message. I waited to the end. The recording said to press 1 to speak to someone, there was no option to opt-out. I pressed 1 and got hung up on.
I(my answering machine)just received another call this morning! A Chris St. James from Broadcom calling to inform me about my credit cards and the balance that may be going up?!?!? It is soooooo imperative that I call him back. It sure is funny how that message is the exact same for another number coming from a Philip Drake from Transcon (Con is right!)Data. That number is also referenced on this site. NEVER call them back or speak to them. If you do they will just laugh at you and/or hang up on you and call you back even MORE often than before. As for the FCC...well, you may want to contact your local law enforcement or call your phone carrier(landline)instead. They have a dept. that handles annoyance calls. Don't know how much good those would do, but it's a suggestion. Good Luck!
Have you ever called someone and got their machine or voicemail and thought that by their RECORDED message you were actually talking to the person? Then of course then go on to say that they aren't available and to leave a message. Maybe we could put a realistic message on our answering machines. Make it sound like it's the Police Department they are calling(at first). Maybe we can catch a few live ones in our traps!
