This is an automated call placed by Total Merchants (credit card processing).
They want to extend the warrenty of my vehicles, but I have no vehicles in my name. I have asked to be removed 3 times and still no luck. No idea how I got on the list in the first place.
I have also been called by numbers 702-520-1417 702-520-1444 702-520-1418 702-520-1436 702-520-1435
I am receiving daily calls from these vermin from various numbers all in the 702-520-14xx number range. It is an auto warranty scam and the calls are being illegally being made to a wireless device by an automated dialer.
You could, and probably should, report them to the FCC, but you know what? The FCC will not do anything to stop the calls. All they may do is fine the company some money, far less than what the telemarketers will collect from their warranty scam, so expect the calls to continue.
For me, they have been coming more frequently and are received daily.
These motherf**kers call my house on an average of 4-7 times a day! I have called them back and requested them to take me off their calling list. I have even called back and hit the #1 to indicate that I want to be taken off the calling list - I've called and spoke to someone who agreed to take me off the list or left messages or punched the #1 well over 2 dozen times (if NOT more). This schit has been going on since my 2000 SAAB 9-5 had an issue that fell under warranty and I had to call it in! SAAB warranty must have sold my information or brokered it out to someone. Effing bu***hit. The worst part of all this is... I'm a freaking Realtor and these calls are coming in on my freaking business line costing me a goddamn fortune. Needless to say I'm pretty pissed off. I think I'm gonna b***h to SAAB!
Just got my first call from this particular number on my Vonage phone about six hours ago (I was not at home; home, by the way, is not in the United States and I don't own a car registered in the U.S., either). However, like Buster above, I have received many previous calls from numbers begining with 1-702-520 and followed by four different digits, so I believe we are dealing with some kind of a phone bank here. What made this call different--besides the last four digits--was that the caller actually left a message this time which went as follows:
"Don't make the mistake of driving your car without a warranty. Press 1 to speak to an agent; press 2 to close your file."
Aside from the fact that I do not believe I can press ANY number off of a recorded message, I am mindful of the unsuccessful attempts by others to have their files closed. I therefore deleted the message and do not plan to respond to the call.
I didn't answer the call from this number since I've been experiencing numerous telemarketing calls. I don't think they left a message. The Caller ID said the call was from National Group. What an ambiguous name to go by.
I keep getting calls from this number on my cell phone, no message left, unknown or unfamiliar to me. Am registered with the do not call service. How do I report this to them?
