some refinance recording, when I get a person on the line to ask them to remove me from their calling list, they hang up
I was getting the same calls from the same number at work. I had the same thing happen to me too: I would speak to someone and tell them that I wanted off their list, he said to me "hold on one second" and then CLICK! I got hung up on. So, I called the number back and there's this really hard to understand recording that comes on but if you press 1 that's supposed to get you off the calling list. I did it the other day and knock on wood, haven't heard a peep.
This number keeps calling me several times a day and will not remove me from the calling list. I have decided to press 1 when prompted to get a representative on the phone. When I do, I ask them what they are wearing and talk dirty to them until they hang up.
Hung up before they could finish. All I heard was something about President Bush, and a loan program our business is qualified for. Not sure what category this company falls under-Political Organization or telemarketer, ethier way extrememly annoying these calls.
same thing about fha loan from prez bush.. when getting an operator it goes to "warranty dept or something like that" its getting old. .. i pressed one to remove me but they r still calling.. i am sick of it.
This number calls my place of work daily and sometimes multiple times a day. It disconnects immediately upon answering whether inperson or my voicemail message. I called and got a busy signal and called again and got a message stating that this phone is used ot call business numbers only and if I wanted to be removed from the call list I should press 1. Then the message just loops to its beginning and ther is no confirmation that it worked. I guess I will find out tomorrow.
www.FYIconsumer.org get the complaint form & mail it or fax it back & this will be assigned to an investigator in the Clark County Las Vegas area, which by the way is where this scam is coming out of. Now, that said, it is possible that they're using some sort of a loop system, & they could have a phone # that just comes up as that area. I've called Consumer Affairs, as well as the Better Business Bureau. I've been told that they do not take these complaints over the phone, you must go to the website & fill out the form & either fax it or mail it to them. The more people complain about it, the more information gets gathered on it. Please keep in mind, this may be a tough case, & they'll need all of our help to get the calls to stop (please do your part to stop this annoyance). There are multiple call centers in Las Vegas as well, & some of them are fairly dishonest, & some are totally dishonest. Yes, some of the phone rooms are not dishonest, but there are a lot who are & are operating under the guise of not being traceable. Let's get Consumer Affairs enough information for them to find these people & stop them. Thank You Soooo Much!
I accidently put down the wrong phone # on my complaint - the phone #'s that have called me have been 702-520-1468, 702-520-1342, 702-520-1418, 702-520-1131, 702-520-1339, & more that (at first) I didn't reallize I should have been writing down! PLEASE help me to STOP these PEOPLE before THEY scam someone out of MONEY! Please, go to the following website & get the form to make the consumer complaint, then fax it or mail it to Consumer Affairs in Las Vegas, NV (Clark County) www.FYIconsumer.org
These people are the scum of the EARTH. They call me usually twice a day and I TRY to talk to them...but it just hangs up on me when I press 1. Oooohhh how I wish I could speak with someone...anyone...over there!!!
I get 3 calls a day from this number at the office; since I have caller ID and ignore it, I have been getting fewer junk faxes. I think they are trolling for working numbers so they can add to a junk fax distribution. Don't answer!
Alliance Collection Angecy. I get call from almost every other day. They called and they want their money, but they have the wrong person, right number and wrong party.
Just got one of these calls at work, which enrages me as I do fiddly stuff all day and these calls interrupt my concentration. (Give me a break, I'm over 40) Also, I'm sure it's an auto dialer, and I understand these are illegal.
I need to bring in a police whistle so I'll be prepared for the next call. After I dial One and get a rep, I can blow the whistle in his/her ear. Ouchy but effective.
Yup, same call center that hangs up on you if you say anything but "yes", but different scam. This time it was the infamous "Credit Services" con, where they get your credit card number to "check" to see if they can help you reduce your debt through an obviously fake piece of legislation they call the "Bank Stress Test Act". Instead they make charges to your card until you have the card cancelled or the bank does that for you. These people are scum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Other numbers and the scams this call center uses:

The Credit Services scam comes through on other numbers as well, the majority of which have been spoofed. The minions at this call center occassionaly admit they are in Florida. Sometimes Credit Services gives this 800 number to call back on their messages. It is still a functional number- 800.374.1414
