got a call last night at 7:40 p.m. Arizona time.   No clue who it was.  Picked up the phone.   No one right away, figured as always telemarketer...  so much for the do not call list.

I have received phone calls in the wee hours of the morning from 702-541-9476. The caller never answers the phone. The caller just says "Goodbye" in a female voice. My phone ID indicates it is originating from Las Vegas, NV. Upon calling that number I'm told my call is very important and hold until an agent is available. I hold for a few minutes and no agent is ever available. What can I do to stop these nusance calls?

A telemarketer from a timeshare rental, claimed association with the PGA Tour, told me where she got my cell number and why she (Jessie) did not check the FCC do not call list.  Membership of Hilton Grand Vacations Club (HGVC)gives or sell their entire membership list to ARDA.  Who's ARDA?  Glad you ask:American Resort Development Association, 1201 15th Street NW, Suite 800, Washington, DC 2000-2842.  ARDA, CEO, Howard C. Nusbaum.  ARDA in turn, according to Jessie (321-251-1380, outgoing calls only), sells the list to anyone in the Timeshare industry and claims to have screened out members on the FCC do not call list.  This answers my question: Why did I start getting so many mailings on Timeshare and Timeshare telemarketers since 1997?  That was the year HGVC started managing my primary timeshare property.  Telemarketers call but the one question they can't answer:  Where is my Timeshare property?  They don't know and that knowledge would be a dead giveaway about where they got my phone number.  I only have wireless and so no directory.  They fall back on the statement:  "We got from public records!"  Hinting they got it from my deed.  Deeds do not show phone numbers and they would have to check Deeds in every county in the whole country.  With all the changes in deeds every year this task could not be completed in a lifetime.  Ask questions, good questions and shoot them down.  Checking the FCC do not call list every time is a Federal law requirement so if a person doesn't they have a "criminal mindset".

Received 2 calls, one yesterday (1/6/12) @ 10:15 am and the other today (1/7/12) @ 6:11 am.
Let the calls go to the answer machine and no message left. annoying!

Repeatly get phone calls in the morning with no message. Called back and just got an messsage that said to wait for an agent.

I get calls waking me early in the morning and all day at school from this number! I answered yesterday and a lady said, 'helllllooo?!' and I said 'hi.' and they hung up. When I try calling back it keeps me on hold. Urrgghh!

I too had been receiving these types of calls. On another thread for another number but same cicumstances, I learned I can block the call - which my phone let's me do.  I am still getting the calls but I only know that because my phone is listing them as a missed call. Call blocking is working!

They just called me at 5:30am today and hung up (they've been calling about every day and doing this, but not this early).  I called the number and spoke with "Tanya" who said they were some kind of timeshare referral/rental company and received my number from my timeshare to see if I wanted to rent out my timeshare.  I told her she woke me up at 5:30 and she said they have no control over the system.  I told her I wanted my number removed and she said she'd be happy to remove it (from this same system she has no control over?).  I gave her my number and hung up.

I have been receiving calls from this number for the last 4 days.  At 7:00 AM   afternoons and evening.  No answer and female voice says goodbye. (Same as others have reported)  Not able to call the number back it is just continous hold and then disconnect.  I have small children so 7:00 AM calls are not apppreciated.

Harassed by these jerks at 5:15am and 9am this morning and have been calling our home for weeks.  We are on a DO NOT CALL LIST, which doesn't seem to matter.  Cannot reach a real person to put an end to this nonsense.  There must be a way to STOP these people!

5 days ago I started getting calls from this number. All times day and night. I have gotten the female "Goodbye" response when I answer. I have had a male to mention "timeshare" and told them I was not interested. My number is on the DNC list as well. I have been very sick the past 2 days. They called 2-3 times yesterday and 3 times (so far) today. No wonder so many people are going crazy and just going on a killing spree.

Ditto here. Been receiving multiple calls from this number each day. VERY annoying!

Been getting calls everyday, I called them back twice and a lady answered both times, I told her to knock it off , she got scared both times and hung up, these people are clearly from a different country, because I can hear their accent. I've been receiving these calls since Jan. 4th.
