Ford17 Sep 2007We just got our phone bill, we have a flat rate arrangement, so when we saw the extra charges in excess of $12.00, we were curious. It seems that this is another scam. We were billed on behalf of Calling 10-15-15-800. Apparently a collect call which we never received. Is there any way of solving this?- We just got the same charge on our phone bill. We recently cancelled our caller ID so we were unable to identify the caller, however we got the same charge on our bill. 10-15-15-800 and 702-555-1212. We fully intend to call our phone company and have them remove this charge from our bill because there is NO way we are paying this!!!
- Take them to court and sue the pants off them. Choose a very high dollar amount. On your original petition sue them for deceptive trade practices, price fixing, and gross negligence. If you are a senior citizen living in Texas with low or fixed income be sure to file a affidavit of inability to pay court costs. If you lose which I sincerely doubt unless you don't show up to court and they win by default in Texas the only thing they can do is ruin your credit (Judgement) as you can't squeeze blood out of a turnip.

I called my local phone company and reported I had not made the call. They are going to issue me a credit for the charge on my bill. They also gave me a number to call to report it. The number is 800-433-4518. I called and reported this to them. they offered to send me a refund check but I told them my local phone company was issuing me a credit. They also blocked this from ever happening to me again. Hope this helps.
- sw26 Mar 2008Billed for a one-minute call for $5.49 plus fees etc for a total of $7.62. Said call was to DA ASSIST CH then the above phone number. I made no such call. Strange thing as I looked over the long distance calls that we did make, one known call made by us is for the same date and exact time of day, 9:31 a.m. as this bogus charge. Was going to contact this company at their website of www.ildtelecom.com, but decided not to and will contact my phone provider instead.

- Donna29 Mar 2008Charged 7.55 - - FROM MY 2nd Phone line!!! Which I call out but never give out the number. I'm afraid to call anyone about it afraid I will get charged again. When I tried to contact the attorny General they want the phone number or address of the company - - All I have is the phone number of a company that scammed me.

I called my phone company CenturyTel and they informed me that this was a third party billing much like a collect call or a psychic hot line call. CenturyTel said that they could not credit the charge that this was a separate co. that I had to call them direct. I scolded CenturyTel for playing a part in the scam. I called ILD and was immediately given a marketing statement from the operator about their long distance directory assistance and the number to call for their services. I told her I was billed for services I did not use. She said that their company would send me a refund CHECK. I told her no, I did not trust her or the company to send me my refund back. She said that she could do an electronic credit back to my phone co. I told her that was what I wanted. I called CenturyTel to see if the credit had been processed and I was told it was not showing up yet on my acct. I was told I could put a third party billing block on my acct for no charge, which i did. By doing so, you cannot accept collect calls or call any company that charges for other services, ie: American Idol, dating, psychic and etc. I cannot believe the FCC allows this to happen. I recommend everyone complaining to the FCC about this scam.
