I just got on a few minutes ago, as well as yesterday.

It was DirecTV. Got it installed and they want to know how service was. Its an automated message

I'm on the do not call list, but this number still keeps calling me on my cell phone.  I live in a small apartment and  I do not even own a TV.  Why would I won't Direct TV!

With all the technology out there... how hard would it be for Directv to to list these calls with caller ID???

I answered the phone and it hung up on me. They must not want to know how things went too badly.

I have recieved 3 of these calls so far.  No voice message is left.  My caller ID says Las Vegas NV.  Has Vinny found me and is he going to come break my knee caps? (Just kidding) I don't answer calls I don't recognize either.  I had DirecTV come out earlier this week to do a repair.  It looks like they will keep calling until you answer it.

Yes, Direct TV calling me, also. I have DIRECT TV coded into my cell phone so I don't really understand why that doesn't come up.
Maybe I will try coding in this Las Vegas number and see what happens the next time they call.

It's possible that someone else who had your phone number before you might have had directv at some point and they have the number.  If the company has a relationship (or has had a relationship in the past) with you or the person who previously had your number, they can call you, even if your number is on the do not call list.  Another possibility is that maybe someone else has a similar phone number (maybe a digit different) and has mis-entered their number on their Directv account.  Since you know it's Directv, answer the call next time and try to get to a live voice to discontinue the calls.  If that doesn't work, call Directv directly and explain the situation to the customer service dept, they will be able to help you get the number removed.

I received a call from that number as well AND I just moved and had DirecTV install at my new residence.  When I did a reverse lookup, it came back as an unlisted landline.  Thanks to all for the information.  Wonder why they did not leave a message??

Add me to the DTV list!  Service upgraded yesterday.  I do not answer calls from parties that do not properly identify themselves.  To the person complaining about DTV calling them even though they have no TV - call DTV and ask to be removed from their call list.  The National Do Not Call Registry doesn't apply if the business (thinks) they have a business relationship with you.  Nobody's perfect.
