This is a scam call that somebody is in trouble with the court - why can't the government stop this type of call????

Got a call from this number on my machine from David Gray. Why are the last names always a color?

Knew right away this was a scam phone call.  This David Gray never mentioned my name and this SOB had the nerve to call my home at 11:20 pm on a week night.

I received the voicemail, so I called back. The US Treasury, but no one could speak fluent English. The lady also told me to wait 45 for an officer to come arrest me. Then she asked who she was talking to. I called back a few more times. Most of the time they hung up right away.

I got a call from this number saying it was a second attempt and if I ignored again it is punishable by federal law and a felony from the us treasury blah blah some bs. I called back 4 times and got a choppy voicemail. Finally an Indian guy had answered asking for a Susan and when I said he had the wrong number he asked well what's your name! Idiot.

Scam blocked

Stupid scam call..."2nd attempt to contact me from the US Treasury, they will be forced to file a suit with the local magistrate."  Interesting since we don't call our courts or judges "magistrates".

Callers are located in India or Pakistan.  As such they are beyond the reach of US law.  Invest in a call blocker and DO NOT pick up on call numbers you do not recognize.

Total scam.  Never return those sorts of calls.

There are some judicial officers called Magistrates in the federal system.  Also some states use the term as well.  But here it's just a term used to try to scare money out of people.

I received a call telling me I was in trouble with the IRS for my taxes filed in 2013.  I asked the woman to please transfer me to someone without such a thick accent because if I was in trouble I certainly needed to understand why.  She transferred me to her supervisor, a man, who had a worse accent.  The call came from a Nevada area code but when I asked where they were calling from I was told Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington DC.  I was skeptical from the beginning and never gave any information but am so sick of these scams.

Call from 702-637-1500 claiming to be from the treasury regarding potential felony charges

Call saying i was being sued by government.   Nigerian accent   Second one in a week.

I called this number about 9 times from a land line after receiving their initial call o0n my cell.  Each time I asked them several pointed questions concerning the address of the treasury dept., the chairman, the phone number etc... each call made their agitation and confusion grow!   The phone number orginated in Henderson NV.  not Washington DC where the US Dept. of treasury is located.  I told them this and suggested that they at least try to be smarter than the marks they were trying to scam.  They got so flustered and after several really inappropriate verbalizations thrown my way and smart-ass replies to my questioning, I knew I had them right where I wanted them.  I was told not to call anymore.  I told them I'd stop if they did.  I don't plan to stop calling them and in fact, I'll be contacting the US Dept. of Treasury first thing Monday morning to let them know that some scam artists are posing as their dept in an official capacity.  Perhaps the Treasury dept will look deeper into the matter.

The accent is not Nigerian.  It is Indian.  Just got off the phone with them.  Total losers

Owned back taxes and will face the supreme court if I don't call back.....

No [***] [***], they didnt and wouldnt give their name. Said they were sending cops to arrest me in 45 mins. Waited no one showed up. Never received a notice from irs. She had the nerve to ask what i was laughing about. [***]. [***] immigrants. This is a serious offense you have warrent. I called local cops, they laughed.

Got the same damn call, said they were sending me to jail.
