- sticky toesWhy do they call my parents I haven't lived there for 30 years. They are old and don't need the her ass mint. I don't want their blowup dolls calling anymore
- Pierce County WA resident| 1 replyCalled 8:23pm with caller ID only showing Las Vegas NV. 100% of these types of calls (city/state only in caller ID) in my case have all been scammers. I usually turn the phone on, then off. This keeps it from going to voice mail.
But this time immediately after I pressed on some scum bucket asked to "...speak to the head of the household". I just hung up so I have no idea what they were trying as a scam.- Caller: Las Vegas NV
- Michigan person| 1 replyJust a loud blaring sound. The call comes From Las Vegas.
- Caller: Unknon
- Call type: Prank
- Penna personThey called my house more than once, asked for me by name when my son answered. He handed me the phone and they hung up. Annoying....
- Rebecca| 2 repliesJust called a minute ago, no idea who it is as I pressed "talk" on the phone and laid it down until I heard the fast busy signal. I have better things to do on my weekend evenings than deal with idiots like these.
- Caller: Las Vegas NV
- LOUThe caller verifies your first name, then switches to a live person who starts a pitch for "disabled American veterans". I stopped them immediately, and asked to take me off their list. They interrupted and hung up.
- Caller: "disabled American veterans"
- David| 1 replyCalled here and when I answered he asked for me. I told him I wasn't home and asked who was calling. He then said no there would be no message and would call again. Will come up with something else for the next time.
- Lori| 1 replyJust got a call asking for my husband, when I said he was not home, he went into his pitch about helping disabled veterans. As a veteran myself, I will help when I know the company is legit!!! Why are they calling on a Sunday night?? Will keep this number handy to see who they are with next time they call!

- brownbear123 replies to DavidThanks for answering a phone call from some one you don't know. You are now placed on the active phone number list and you will get MANY calls from scammers all over the world. They get paid when real ? people answer a call made by a computer
- brownbear123 replies to LoriDon't you listen to the tv news, read the paper, get the AARP alert.. These nare computerized calls made by a COMPUTER that calls numbers in order. Answer and you just verified that your number is a valid working number and it was answered by a sucker. When you answer, press any button on the phone or try to call back you will get what you deserve. A local lady was told of the crime in her area and offered a FREE ALARM system. She lost $89,000 and could not get it back because the court said she voluntairly gave the scammers all of the information. When the automated message says PRESS 1 or 2 or9, etc you may have bought something or just lost your lifes savings. IF YOU DON"T KNOW THE CALLER----------------DON'T ANSWER-----IF IT IMPORTANT, THE CALLER WILL LEAVE A MESSAGE..If you want to donate----you call them The scammers change their phone numbers every second--they are all fake With the holidays around the corner the even use names like AHA (American Heart Assn) BEWARE
- brownbear123 replies to Pierce County WA residentlET THEM GO TO VOICE MAIL BECAUSE THEY DO NOT LEAVE A MESSAGE. Answering just verifys that your number is a verified working number and you will get a LOT MORE CALLS Answering also tells them that they have a potential candidate for scamming
- brownbear123 replies to Michigan personDo you know Mr. Las Vegas?????????????Why did you answer????????????????????????????Caller id does not show the city or state of the caller. Some day you might get a call from Mr. California or Arixona. Answering just identifies you as an interested person to scam. Let the calls go to voice mail. If its legit they will leave a message and you can respond NEVER TRY TO CALL THESE FAKE NUMBERS BACK
- brownbear123 replies to Rebecca| 1 replyAnswering a call from a caller you do not know just puts you on the scammers list. You verified that your number is a valid working number. Let calls go to your answering machine. See if they leave a message NEVER TRY TO CALL THEM BACK BECAUSE THEY ALL CALLING FROM A OUTCALL CALLING CENTER.
- Jakeo replies to brownbear123If you have a working answering machine or voicemail they know the number is active
- BCGot a call from this number Sunday (!!!) at 2:55pm MST on my unlisted line. I wasn't even home to get the call but no matter, I'd gotten so fed up with scammers calling that I'd forwarded the number to a known unused number so who ever calls would get the message that they'd reached an out of service number. That probably won't work but it makes me feel better.
And by the by, whether you answer or let it roll to voice mail, they'll keep calling, even blocking the number with your carrier won't stop them. They're using automated dialing lists and there's no incentive for them to edit those lists. They're robodialing so they only care about the potential marks that answer and that might fall for whatever scam they're peddling. It only takes a few to make their efforts pay off handsomely.- Caller: No idea
- AliceThis number called my home phone on Sunday at 7:36PM EST (five minutes ago as of this typing). The caller ID says "Unknown Name: 702-786-0622". I never answer numbers that I don't know, rather the first thing I do when an unknown number calls me is Google it. It usually takes me to this site.
And remember, most real companies are not open late on Sundays, if they're open at all! - mayuCalled 8:35 pm. caller id said: Unknown. just 1 minute ago
- carwomanEven though I don't answer, they keep calling. It's terrible at the holidays - every [***] in the world calls.
