An automated call that responds 'hello' if you say "hello" and then says to use this number as a reference for an 800 number... This number calls my phone at least 5 times a week.

I got a message from this number with an extension number attached. When I called they asked for my court case number and I didn't have it, so they asked for the phone number that they left a message at. I gave it to them, but they wouldn't tell me anything after that because the phone number didn't match my name. They were trying to figure it all out and I just hung up. I didn't want to deal with the drama.

Same for me. This number keeps popping up on my phone and I just couldn't figure out who it was because they are not leaving a message but now I see that others are having the same issue. I will disregard it and figure out how to block it. If anyone else knows how to block this number from a sprint cell phone please post it here. Thanks

On google AARGON is a collection agency on Sahara Av
Las Vegas,NV. Number does not match the one on site.
Trying to figure how to block.

I just received the call and thankfully I did not answer it. They supposedly left a message. I did a google search and found this site. Thanks everyone for the update on this -I will not waste my time or minutes for my cell on them!

Got same scenario here, guy Id'd himself as Raymond Lee from AARGON (I got his "boss" on the phone Dennis Callanan) both of which were PISSED that I called them out on the scam, how they got my number is a MYSTERY. I have only a cell, have had it for ONE MONTH, not listed anywhere and the only people that have the number are my wife, mother, ATT and my job. Its a bogus collection agency scam looking for SS#s and things of that sort. If you get a call from these people BEWARE! Give no info to them, and call them as many nasty things as possible, I did it was quite the experience I wish I'd never have had. By the way AARGON is in no way affiliated w/ this number according to the people I spoke to when I called the number on their site.

This number called my cell phone.  I answered with "Hello" and got no reply at all.  I said, "Hello" several times and never received an answer.

I just received a call from this number and - not recognizing it - did not answer it.  The voicemail they left was a recording that requested that I call some 800 number and give them my telephone number as a reference.

If this IS a collection agency, I am beyond livid:  I had a bankruptcy that discharged ALL of my debts over THREE YEARS ago.  Anyone attempting to contact me now is REALLY barking up the wrong tree - not only do I have NO outstanding debts but, anyone contacting me in any way, shape or form regarding any of the discharged debts is BREAKING THE LAW.

I almost hope they DO call back so I can give them an earful.

And, if this is coming from something other than a collection agency, I'm just fairly pissed-off at the knowledge that my number has in some way been made available to some scam artists, telemarketers, or other [***] of that ilk.

As with the others, the automated machine at the 203-853-1728 number has been calling me on my "cell" phone.  This has been constant for months during all hours of the day/night.

With all the above people venting their issue(s) with this number, does anyone know what is being done about it?  Or should I ask, what can be done about it?  Does this thread do anything about the automated machine, person, company that's behind the phone number?

ooops, I mentioned area code 203.  Should have read area code 702.

I also checked out another number that I was receiving calls from, "702-933-0082."  There's a thread that has this number also in the 800notes.  Both these numbers are referring to the same company.
