no one talks

This phone number keeps appearing on my work phone and I do not know anybody in Las Vegas.  And they never leave a message. I do not pick up phone numbers I do not know.  If this was a legitimate person trying to reach me, they would leave a message.  

Unknown caller is calling my unlisted & DO NOT CALL # does not leave a message

Just got a call on my Skype number.  No message.  Blocked the number.

I'm on the do not call list. At 8:05 AM on Friday, May 30, 2014 my home landline phone rang. The caller stated they were asking for donations and support for cancer research etc. The calling number was 1 702 978 6923. I have no clue if this is for real or another illegal telephone scam operation. My caller ID showed "out of area" followed by the message and the phone number shown.

asked for claudia,i said she had the wrong number and she said they are having a drive for breast awareness i said i am not interrested and please delete my number.

My job is within the legal practice. To give you a hint I render decisions...

The female caller violated probably every law on State & Federal books!

I had the same experience. Out of Area 702-978-6923.  They called but did not leave a message.  We are also on the DO NOT CALL list.  

On do not call list yet keep getting calls from this number.  Have reported them!  We will see if that helps

ID says, "nevada call".  

I am really having a hard time understanding how it is that people come to believe that posting anonymously on an internet board proclaiming that they are on the "Do Not Call" list and asking unknown parties to remove them from a calling list will produce any results at all.  Who do they believe they are talking to and how do they expect anyone to know who they are or what number they should stop calling?  

Anyway, no message left from this number.  Another website lists this as a "spoofed" number.  Come up as "out of area."  Placed it on our call block.

Yes, this number just appeared tonight and no one left a msg.  Luckily my phone company has a call blocking service which allows customers to add these kinds of numbers to it so that no further calls from the blocked numbers will come through.  Thank you all for your posts!  This site is a great reference for these things.  

An offshore fraud scam spoofing American telephone numbers and pretending to be representing cancer research, and asking for donations.

When calls are made from overseas, even though they show an American number, they're not really from America and therefore the Do Not Call lists don't cover them. The Do Not Call list ONLY protects you from American based telemarketer or scam calls. These people are calling from India, Romania, Russia, China, Bangladesh, and other foreign countries. The only way you can stop them is to use your phone carrier's blocking system.  

Called my work number - breast cancer fund raising. I asked them to take me off the list.

Called my unlisted, unpublished number.  Didn't leave a message.  Go away who ever you are!

Just called my home, didn't answer cause I know no one in the 702 area code or the state of Nevada.  I already knew it was a scam caller.

Ask for some odd name then proceeded to ask for the lady or man of.the house. Just said nope and hung up.

Just got a call from 702 978-6923.  It started off with a V number  V60420023800509.  My phone lists all the numbers. I just pick up and hang up immediately.
