    Some woman named "Miss Perry" (and what a flaming, shrieking, miserable bee-yatch she was, too--"customer service" would never be associated with the dripping, miserable attitude she displayed over the telephone) called looking for a friend of mine who stayed with me for awhile.  I asked, several times, what it was about, and she just kept INSISTING, with a snooty and threatening tone,  that my friend call her back.  I told her if she didn't tell me the purpose of her call I was not about to pass on the message.

    I would imagine that this is some sort of collection agency, and they blindly call people.  My friend has a fairly common name, and to the best of my knowledge has no bills outstanding.

    I called back and was told it was "nationwide." when i asked what the call was about i was told to hold and redirected to a voice mail box. I hung up. They call every day.

    I have not called back since I do not rec this at all.
    If someone want's to talk to me they have to call me directly.

    This company has been calling me for the past 18 mos....which is about the time I moved and received this phone number from Verizon.  I'm not sure what part of 'you have the wrong number' and 'leila dorsey doesn't have this number' these idiots do not understand, but their constant harrassment is offensive and annoying.  I wish they'd do their homework and check with the phone company.  Obviously though they're not smart enought to do that.

    This number calls me at least once a day now.  I've had plenty of dealings with actual collection agencies in the past, and they will more than happily leave you a voicemail.  This number never does.  I don't know who they are but they don't stop.

    I received a call from this organization 703-245-1922 on 1/20/11.  The representative was very rude, unprofessional and argumentative and requesting payment on account that he said his office reveived in collections in 2008.  I proceeded to let him know that the account was paid off some two years ago and he should verify with the organization that submitted it to them for payment..he was so rude and argumentative that I ended the call.  I called back to speak with a supervisor ,Mr. Ross, and asked him the process on verifying the validity of accounts to ensure they are not harrassing people when accounts are paid..he said they generally verify with the organization that submitted the account...I then informed him that his representative was rude and reported nothing about checking the validity of the debt...I requested a review of the initial phone call...lets see if they actually do anything about their rude satff.

    It seems that NCC is mostly staffed, as another person mentioned, by complete numbskulls who only care about trying to collect something, anything, no matter how insignificant.  They absolutely are not bright enough to get a job anywhere else and they could care less how bad their informaton is and they have a fairly high turnover rate too.  They will keep calling forever in the hopes that you will eventually give in and send them some money whether you owe it to them or not.  They had me down for owing exactly $1 in past due taxes to my county.  I contacted the county who said I did not have any past due amount.  NCC continually refuses to remove the collection and has persisted for 4 years now in trying to collect that $1.  Doesn't get more ridiculous than that.   I believe in the advice I've read elsewhere that you should never, ever answer their calls.  If you have an issue to resolve use the contact information online or in your credit report to write to them and request that they stop calling and keep all communications in writing because ONLY what is in writing matters.   Phone conversations are a complete waste of time.  Especially with collectors.
