Got a call from this same number, seems to be some type of scam

NCC National Credit Corporation or something like that.  They have all the info from an old medical bill of mine, including the correct name, address, birthdate and account number.  But the bill has been paid in full and Johns Hopkins said they never sent it to collections.  NCC has been calling for four months.  So now I wonder if it is a scam....

Columbia MD:  They called last night at 8:00. I told them I was bankrupt and filing now. I wanted the company information. He gave me an 800 number and hung up.  Next morning at 5:38am, I get a call and no one on the other end... just silence.

I'm getting this call too. I have two medical bills that I have worked out payments with and have not received any notification of it being charged off to a collection company because I am up to date. I have recently just called them because they just called me this morning on my cellphone and they all said no, it has not been charged off. Sounds like a scam to me. I wish it was super easy to block numbers like it use to be.

Supposedly a collections line calling re: xrays done at a Hopkins office. I called Hopkins, because this was supposed to go through insurance. Their billing office informed me that they have not sent the bill to collections.

Calls my cell phone a few times every day. Just called me at 2:45 p.m. Central time.

Called, wanted to speak with my brother-in-law.  I told them he was unavailable but that I could certainly help them with whatever issue they had.  Asked me if I was his wife, I said yes, then asked me to "verify" that by providing them with MY (her) birth date, address, phone number and social security number.  Uh, how is providing  all that information going to verify anything if they are calling about my husband (or in this case my brother-in-law). So I gave them her birth date and everything else with the exception of her social but they wouldn't talk to me until I provided it.  They hung-up when I refused.

When they called again, my husband answered and said he was my brother-in-law and they proceeded to tell him about an overdue medical bill for a very small amount.  After they told him the amount and what it was for, he told them he outright lied and was NOT who they were calling for.  They hung-up IMMEDIATELY!

We have since found the delinquent bill and payed it directly to the hospital.

If you get your phone from Comcast you can block the number.

Keep getting calls from this number.  I don't answer but they won't leave a message.  Really wish they'd stop calling my cell!

I blocked them from my cell - divert the calls - phone wont ring.

these calls keep coming - as many as 3 or 4 a day.
says they are a collection agency and we should
return the call.   refuse to do this!

Nationwide Credit Corporation -- debt collectors based in Northern Virginia. Possibly affiliated w/"Nationwide Credit Inc" or "NCO Financial Systems"....I'm not the guy they're looking for!

I too have been getting calls from this number, annoying… I just hang up. My number has the Do Not call registry, still get’s through the system. What’s up with that? If the GOV doesn’t act on these complaints what use is the program?

Keep getting calls from this number.  Someone keeps giving out my cell number when "they" don't want to be identified and this company has gotten hold of it.  Please stop calling.
