This number has called my work.  Any idea on who it is?

It's a company called NCC claims they do debt collection on delinquent taxes for Fairfax County. Actual callback number is 703-813-1471

They called me today saying we owed "ownership taxes" from 2005 on our 2006 vehicle. I asked how he got my number and he said from the county....weird because when my husband was stationed there, I didn't even know him. my name isn't even on the car. I asked why they waited 6  years to call and he said VA had the right to collect up to 20 years. I told him to call back in 14 years and we would talk. Wouldn't my bank have this info since that's who we make the payments to????? and since when does a county hire a collection agency to collect taxes?

Got call at 6:20pm 8/22 from 703-245-1946.  I didn't pick up the call and no one left a massage.  Called ID had NCC as the caller

This number calls a couple times a week. Should i answer or just ignore? No voice mail either.

I have the same problem.I sold my car 2 years ago and the say I have $156.00 in parking tickets.

I received a call from this company today and I answered. This is Denise, a United collector called me from this number asking for William Montoya. I repeated my name again. He said you aren't William Montoya. I told him I just advised who I was. He said so you aren't him and became rude. I advised him you are not going to call my cell phone and be rude. He said nobody is being rude and hung up. Called 703-813-1471. Another person answered. I explained to him what happened. He said not a problem, will take number off. When I asked to speak to a manager, he put me on hold and did not come back to phone. 1:58 PM 11/8/2011

I just got the same thing today. Same collections company. So they said. They were trying to tell me I owed 153.00 for my car tax in VA. I live in california and asked why I'm being called now? When I told him to send me the form to my address since they could not send it through email. He got upset and just hung up. I'm actually thinking of calling the cops and reporting this.
