Said something like, "This is the rug cleaners. We are calling because you used our rug cleaning in the past. " It was a recording. Message ID said McLean Va. I never used a service that would not give their real name and it wasn't in McLean Va.

A robocall  from "The Carpet Cleaning Company". Comes in from Mc Lean, VA. They were also using 703-259-8559 as of 6/5/15.

I just got a call from them. I only answered because I have called some carpet cleaners recently, but  I couldn't figure out why they were calling at 8:30 at night

They called me at exactly 9:00 AM.  I am retired, so was barely awake.  I did not answer.

Idiot lawbreakers called at 9:07 on a Saturday morning despite our being on DNC list. Probably spoofed number but I blocked and reported them anyway.

Robocall "Kathy with the rug cleaning company. You have used our service in the past blah blah...". Never had used them.

Same Douchbag Lady's recording on the tenth different number that I've blocked for them. They are not hawking a carpet cleaning service but checking phone numbers to see if thy are used. Nefarious reasons most likely... But they are no good for the fact that they don't exist as the service they say they are.

Yes, rug cleaners or something like that with a McLean, VA caller ID and no caller ID name, who stated that they're calling because we've used their services before - WRONGO, since we have wood floors.    We live in McLean so I thought it might be friends or something else important rather than another annoying robo-call.   We're on the Federal Do-Not-Call list but it makes no difference . . .    your govt at work maintaining such a useless list of those of us who don't want unsolicited phone calls that solicitors don't have to check before harassing people.

Telemarketers

They don't exist as a business (for rug cleaning anyway). Call them back at your own peril.  For them it mean YOU exist.  And they will keep calling and calling and calling you

Called me this morning, and when I didn't answer they promptly called me back from a "private" number. Which I also didn't answer, and they never left a message on the machine!

Same carpet cleaning call as others have described.  As soon as the person started speaking I said the usual "I'm on the do not call list, you are breaking the law."  I don't know if it was a real person or a recording; probably the latter, but I think they had a person monitoring.  As soon as I got the words "do not call" out, they cut off the call.
