- SantaAnnoying call will keep you on hold for a while if you let them
- JaneInWVapicked up after 3 rings. hang up. called back. said representative would be with me blah, blah, blah. Still holding after 8 minutes. . Turned out it was "Senior Health Care", Patterson, NJ trying to help me with my Medicare issues. LOL. I am 65 and I do NOT have Medicare. Told caller take my name off list or I will file another complaint with FTC, which seems to work better than FCC.
- Caller: "Senior Health Care"
- Call type: Telemarketer
- addieCaller is an automated recording stating that the back brace "you ordered" is here. Press 1 if........ I hung up.

- MidNYteStorm| 1 replyThe issue for me is that there is a chance that the number in question is actually spoofed and the person above has no connection to this operation. In the past these bogus operations displayed out of service numbers and now they will display any given number. I find that practice extremely disturbing.
- Dallas replies to MidNYteStormI just got a call from that number. Since I NEVER answer a number I don't know, the call went to voice mail. No message left. I often check these numbers, and most turn up in one or more of these scam lists. The simple fact is this has became big business in the past couple of years or so. Scammers trying to get personal info, etc. And the comments about spoofing the caller id and numbers is something to be increasingly aware of. The are several countries out there (India, China, many others) that allow anyone to manipulate ALL of the info on a phone, and these folks can make calls from those places that look like they come from some number in the U.S. or Canada. Once they get a few people to answer and provide info, these international scammers can make free long distance calls all around the world. And blocking them is less & less effective since they just use random numbers and swap them for some other random number with anywhere from a few hours to a few days.
- DSassy1Annoying automated caller about "calling about a tv ad you responded to" which is a lie. Dead end to return call as never connects to anything.
- BeaThis number has called my home 5 times today, before 2pm, I just anwsered it and it said, they were calling from an ad I responded to on tv, press 1 to connect to a customer service representative or press 2 to be put on the do not call list. I pressed 2, a woman came on and said she was calling about Medicare benefits and I starTed to stay take me off your call list and I was hung up on!
- Caller: unsure
- Jen| 1 replyI just had the same thing, a recording saying "calling about a tv ad you responded to". If you press 2 to be removed from the call list, an automated message tells you they are transferring you ---but it keeps you on hold forever. So I hung up.
- DSKitty| 1 replyI got the same call about the TV issue. My mom actually answered and she wrote down the number for me (plus I also have caller ID). She said that they wanted to know if I still had a problem with the back of my TV. Now I have Googled about a problem I was having with 2 of my TV (almost 6 months apart). I don't think in my research I ever signed in to any boards or help centers (it was only reading about what others were saying about the same problem I was having). And neither one of them had were problems with the back of my TV's. I haven't asked yet, but when my mother talked to them, she might have given them the hint that I was having problems with 2 TV's and they might have played into that. But like I said, I've never left any information, especially not my phone number or full name, when researching issues in regarding problems I was having with my TV's. But they left no name or return number for me to call. From what I'm seeing here with others, I think this was just one of those fishing calls hoping to get as much info as possible on a person, but thankfully my mom knows not to give personal information to anyone on the phone when they call, no matter what they say.
- Mopsie replies to JenI also received the same PH call this morning and elected to press 2 to disconnect but instead a male with an Indian accent asked me about my back pain or knee pain. Also said this was in response to an TV ad I probably saw on TV. When I asked him how they got my ph number, the call was disconnected. I tried to call the number left on my caller ID but of course no one answered. SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!
- MIKEY replies to DSKittyIt's a FLICKING SCAM !! Wake up people !! The medicare scam thru 12/7/2014 will stop then but will then be the free crap that your doctor ordered for you or the back pain (which is a lot lower than your back BUT on the same side !! Scam block the number and report it !!
- Rick| 1 replyAdded yet another area code to my CPR Call blocker. I almost never get these calls anymore since buying the unit from Amazon 2 months ago. Was worth every penny and the unit was a snap to hook up ... 5 minutes while I was having a cup of coffee.
- Caller: unavailable
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Worth every dime replies to RickThank you for your post & thank you for cutting off money going to foreign 3rd world scamming criminals. I wish we could get more people on this site to invest in a call blocker. Folks have to understand this problem will NOT go away. You have to take action & be proactive.
