Tax scam - received a call from a [***] trying to impersonate an amerian. Called himself sean parker.
Said ther were tax issues and i advised to send a letter. He said an arrest wrrant would be issued.  What a spaz.

Do not fall for his line.  Very cheesy indian accent.  Douche.

Has been reported to the irs andsecet service.

I got a call from this # 703-531-8841. Saying he is a officer for the IRS that I have been addicted

I got one too.  I called them back and told them to send a letter.  I'm supposed to be arrested in 45 minutes.

Received a call saying I had to call them back or they would have the local sheriff arrest me. They had an affidavit saying I had committed tax fraud. When I called back they hung up on me twice.

703-531-8841 horrible foreign accent leaves messages on my answering machine saying they have an affidavit regarding tax evasion and they will have the local sheriff arrest me if I don't call them back. It goes straight to voice mail. HAHAHA

Recieved a call from this scam as well posing as the IRU legal unit - Telling me I have been identified for tax evasion.  They are foreign and can't speak english - should give you a clue!!!!!  Don't waste your time calling!

Same as above.  I did take the time to go to the IRS web site and go to their scam page.  Filled out the information there and also the email address they listed.  Maybe if everyone that gets the call does this, they will get inundated with enough messages that they will pursue these callers and trap them.

I received a call from this number this morning. They left a message claiming that they have an affidavit in my name (which they didn't mention in the voicemail) for tax evasion. I should not disregard this call as it will lead to big legal problems for me. If I am too busy to call back I should have my attorney call back for me. Otherwise they will have to contact my local police and Sheriff departments. When I called back (because I had nothing better to do) they hung up on me twice and insisted that the IRS no longer communicates via USPS. Don't fall for this. I wish I knew how they got my phone number in the first place.

Ditto here.  Left a message saying they have been trying to reach me for months and months for Tax Evasion and if I didn't call the number they left, they would call the local sheriff... Blah blah blah
I hope nobody falls for this SCAM!  They will always get my answering machine, terrible accent the lady had, I barely understood her, had to replay message 3 times.  What a joke!

This is an IRS Scam.  I made the mistake of answering this call they told me I was being indicted for Tax Evasion.  I decided to play along to see how far they would take it.  I finally said this SCAM is ridiculous, the woman on the other end said what do you mean ridiculous, this is no scam you are in serious trouble.  I then said "Oh really how can that be, I work for the IRS and we do not call people about Tax Evasion."  She immediately hung up on me LMAO!  I bet they remove my number from their list!!!!!!

Got a message from 703-531-8841 stating same as all the others about IRS and tax evasion...fools need arrested themselves!

Received a call from an individual from the above referenced number claiming to be an IRS officer. I was advised that a warrant had been issued for my arrest due to a fraudulent tax filing. The individual spoke at length regarding the severity of the crime and possible consequences. I terminated the call after asking several questions and receiving no legitimate responses.

There is a widespread IRS (or CRA) or "tax scam" being  practiced by scammers on both USA and Canadian residents.

Short answer:
The IRS never initiates a contact via phone.
They always send a snailmail first.

Left a very threatening call saying tax evasion and only call back with an attorney. They would be notifying the sheriff's department.

Just got this call from 703-531-8841 from the 'internal revenue service'

message was left on my mobile phone impersonating a representative of the IRS. Indicated that an avadavat was issued for my arrest due to criminal charges of tax evasion and tax fraud.  Was instructed to contact the number provided immediately to prevent further legal issues.  I contacted the number and spoke with a man who gave me a case number, his officer ID number, IRS codes and legal statutes.  He indicated that the issue could be resolved with court proceedings if I were willing to do that.  He said that I was not to involve anyone else, nor share with anyone else, including my husband.  When I told him that I would contact my tax attorney rather than deal with him over the phone, he said that a warrant had been issued for my arrest. I then hung up.

Got the call today on my cell phone....i kept calling back just because it ticked me off.  When someone finally answered they wanted to confirm the phone number that they called to refer back to the case.  I asked the guy "why are you calling me from India"....."Huh, what"  was his answer so I repeated my question.   His reply was "I am not calling you from India, I am calling you from Pakistan".  To which I replied, "You're and idiot, and idiot...just a stupid, stupid piece of [***] Idiot".   I thought surely that he and I had made a connection and that he would want to talk longer.  I even asked him if he knew that his wife was having sex with his brother?  I was totally surprised when he hung up on me.   What did I say that wrong?
