I got an annoying call from this number. When I hung up, the caller called back and said that she was a Federal Marshall and didn't appreciate being hung up on... yet, she wanted my address and proceeded to survey me for some marketing project.  Upon calling the number back, I got an answering message first and then someone picked up on a subsequent attempt -- it seemed like a marketing gig out of someone's residence. Has anyone else received such a call or know how to stop it?

I also got the call from same number.. It was a guy and told that he is with some federal agency and they issued a non bailable arrest warrant..If I don't talk with his supervisor a federal agent will be at my door step within 30 mins...

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

I too just got a call from this number. He knew my name and pronounced it correctly. My name is Indian and Americans never pronounce it right. This man with an Indian accent told me he was Fred Wilson with the FBI and was a federal Marshall. I laughed and told him he had an awful strong Indian accent to be named Fred Wilson, he said, "You think I am from India?". I replied that I knew he was. I think he said someone was coming, not sure...and then we were abruptly disconnected. The caller ID said it was coming from Sterling, VA, but there was a delay in the sound, as in international calls.

Wow, just noticed same number put out an online job application that looks legit... Watch out, good way to harvest personal info by setting up a false job advertisement and having people send in all the personal info via resume that they need to conduct their criminal activity! Incidentally, the recipient of the resume has an Indian name email address. Not "Fred Wilson".

Caller said irs had leveled serious fraud charges and police is coming to arrest me and wife. And toavert that I need to pay 2500$ online. I said go whatever you can do ,

I got call from this same number and he told me  we calling from federal service and you did not file 1040A  so you have to pay 2500$ for 2 year and if you don't pay in 30 min you will get arrested. When i tell him why i didn't receive any letter in mail,he said we sent letter too you but you  did not respond.

Man called Identifying himself as a federal agent claiming we did not file 2010 tax .Trying to scam money from us claiming he would cancel our citizenship

i got call this same number yesterday but i wasn't at home then i rang them back a hour ago to make sure what was about it then a man was saying they calling from federal gov agent he says i didn't file tex 2010 n 2011 u have to pay $2500 its plenty if u don't pay in 30 mins u will b arrested and  ur passport n citizen will b cancel and u will b in prison  then u will b send back to ur countery

got such call - person posing as some federal agent  and arresting me in 40 min

I just got a call from this # as well..  I thought it was fishy that he called 3 times in a row, and I finally picked up.   He asked for my wife, and I said she is not here.. I asked who this was , and he something about law enforcement but i couldnt make it out.   He then asked my name, and I got angry and asked him is.   He was like no, you give me your name.   I just laughed and hung up.  

I hope they call back again so I can mess with them.

Lol!  Very fun to mess with this guy. He gives me a caucasion name, yet has a very thick indian accent.  

He said this is not a joke, and to expect a police officer at my house in 30 minutes.  I asked him if he can give me 45 minutes, because I am eating lunch and need the extra time before I get arrested.  He started yelling , " I am not your servant!!!"'''  And I started jockingly pleading with him to please let me finish my lunch before I get taken away, as I really would like to enjoy my last meal in freedom.  Again he kept yelling, "I am not a servant!  This is not a joke! You will see in 30 minutes!"

Gave me a great laugh today.

Got calls from the same number today. He kept on calling if i would hung up on him. When my wife picked, he started framing the same charges, warning of police coming in 30 min, some federal agency etc. What's different was the precise value he wanted. 1945 dollars

This guys got hold of a list of people of Indian origin and they want yo talk to u in the native language posing as federal agents.  As soon as you speak in English and ask questions they hang up. Be aware of these [***] trying to get money.

I got same call today twice and claiming they have a arrest warrant for me and coming in 30 mints.
