- P.J. in California| 1 replyStates there is an eviction notice issued against your house and to call immediately before things get worse. If you try to call them back no one answers the phone and they ask you to leave a message.
- Caller: Patrick from the IRS
- Call type: Debt collector
- Mike-in-MD replies to P.J. in CaliforniaJust another scare tactic to try and get you to call so they can further intimidate you to fall for their IRS scam. Just ignore the call.

- Carpetbagger BasherSCAM-SCAM-SCAM...
My buddy - "Patrick" just called from the IRS informing me in very bad English that he had a tax matter on his desk that needed
my attention right away. Call him back immediately upon receiving this message. I listened to it four times but the combination
of the poor quality of the recording and his Indian accent made it almost impossible to make out that I shouldn't ignore this call and I needed to settle up with him before this got out of hand... Checking the calling log from yesterday I see he called for me once but didn't leave a message. That was 2 hours after another set of friends of his called claiming to be from the IRS twice, within 90 mins of each other, instructing me to call them back at 1-866-931-3773 within 2 hours or they were going to put a lien on my property, seize my bank accounts, garnish my income, and send the police to my door to arrest me, all within the next couple of hours; or words to that affect. Check them out if you want to be amused and wow'ed and have a few minutes. Both are clear scams as the IRS will not make cold calls, use non-English speaking agents, they use the USPS... The callers for the 866 number was an English or Aussie speaking lady so they have changed it up a little from the earlier reports on that 800note... Enjoy!- Caller: IRS Pretender

- j deadlyDefinitely IRS scam, the guy sounds like he just fell off of his camel.
Tried to contact the IRS but they don't answer the scam phone line and the voice mailbox is full.
They are probably still busy destroying evidence of wrongdoing. - Hugh G RectionI guess Patrick went on break. Mathew John (also with a heavy Indian accent oddly enough) called me this morning. He is a very persistent p***s claiming to be from the IRS. Adamant that I needed to do something right away, or the IRS was going to file a lawsuit... in 45 minutes! Thanks Obama...
- Caller: IRS omg!
- MI received a similar message as those reported already. The message says I need to contact him directly or things will get worse.
- LalaClearly a scam. Patrick left me a message stating what others before me have already said. Bad quality, thick accent. Sorry Patrick.

- Caller: IRS Scam
- Jamie| 2 repliesReceived the same call. Don't call them back. What phone carrier is everyone using? I'm on Verizon. Just curious if they got a phone number list from a specific carrier.
- Caller: IRS Scam
- Call type: Debt collector
- Mike-in-MD replies to JamieThey didn't get anyone's number from anywhere unless they have actual information about you such as your name and address. If so, they stole that information from the overseas call center they work for that was hired by a US company. If not, then they are using a computer to call all numbers in a given area code and exchange one after the other.
- JamesMThey called and left three messages. Same script. Slightly different voices.
- BillB| 1 replyPatrick the [***] called with IRS threats here too. What does it take to get these jokers arrested? How long will they keep filling my answer machine with these bogus empty threats?
