- Pickle| 2 repliesI just did, don't know who it could have been
- PickleI called it back, it's "Free Eats .com".
- This Guy!| 2 repliesI didn't answered but called back & it was a guys voice telling you to go to freeeats.com which basically wants you to give them your mobile phone number and your service provider so you can join the FreeEats.com network and "get paid to view advertisements". Then they are suppose to send you a text message with your registration link, which will allow you to register for the FreeEats.com service and start getting paid for viewing advertisements! Sounds like the makings of a scam to me. Shady!!!
- Caller: freeeats.com?????
- College studentGot this call a few minutes ago and did not pick up. Came here to see who it could've been. Glad I didn't pick up.
- Stop calling| 1 replygot a call just now. I was making dinner so I didn't answer, but a voicemail was left. I listened to it, sounded like a recording a female voice saying, "We may call back later."
- MSF replies to Stop callingI've received a phone call from this mumber several times now this week. I have yet to answer the call directly, just wait to see if they leave a voicemail. The latest voicemail was a male voice recording saying, "We may call back later" as well.
- I don't pick up unknown numbers| 5 repliesVoicemail says "This was a political survey call, we may call back later."
- DM replies to I don't pick up unknown numbers| 4 repliesYes, got the same "political survey... may call back later." I am now verifying my # is on the do not call registry. It was 8 years ago.
- Slim replies to DM| 3 repliesWhat everyone should know about the Federal Do Not Call List.
1. The DNC list is intended to reduce or stop calls from legitimate telemarketers - telemarketers who have registered with the FCC.
2. The DNC list is NOT intended to, nor can it do the following:
-- automatically block calls.
-- stop calls from:
--- politicians
--- survey companies
--- debt collectors
--- companies with which you have a "business relationship"
--- NON registered "telemarketers" (they do not subscribe to the list, and do not care about the list)
--- telespammers, telescum, and other criminals
3. The DNC list is for use by private phones, not business phones
The DNC does indeed work, and is quite effective, if you consider the above statements.
If you wish more protection than that afforded by the DNC provisions, obtain a call blocker device, phone or app. Google is your friend.
If you wish to report a telespammer, report it to the FTC

- Avoid this scam!| 2 repliesThis is from a company that calls itself Free Eats.com, but what it really does is feed you political solicitations with your approval. It claims to pay you but I bet no one ever gets paid. Here's text from a lawsuit they brought against the state of Indiana to try to allow them to get around the spam call laws in that state:
"United States Court of Appeals,Seventh Circuit.
FREEEATS.COM, INC., Plaintiff-Appellant, v. State of INDIANA and Steve Carter, Attorney General, Defendants-Appellees.
FreeEats is a Virginia corporation that uses prerecorded telephonic messages to poll households, identify political supporters, deliver political advocacy messages, and encourage supporters to go to the polls to vote for particular candidates. It makes interstate telephone calls into all fifty states. If a FreeEats call is not answered by a live person, FreeEats will attempt to call the number again up to three times."
