See 703-662-8286.  Same experience.  Caller said they were the IRS (I guess, slurred words).  They had sent certified letters that had been returned (no letter here...).  Said to call their audit department (I think) to avoid a law suit.  Called several times to my wife's cell phone from this and the other number.  Totally ignored!

I received two calls in the last hour from (703) 662-8287 claiming they were with the IRS and I needed to call back immediately or risk legal action.

Same deal here.  Obvious scam ...

Scam call about taxes. They tried twice on landline.

Received three phone calls from this number claiming they had sent letters and police were coming after me.  Called the number back and actually got a person. Told them I already called the IRS and everything was find. Told me that I can just wait for the sheriff to come and get me.  Very rude. Told them they were scammers and he said again to just wait til they arrest me.  He didn't even know why they called me at first. Kept asking what the message said that was on my answering machine.

Accented caller claiming to be a recorded call from IRS, immune to do-not-call lists, and asserting that the IRS is pursuing a lawsuit against me for back taxes and I need to call back immediately.  Obvious scam!

I just got the call. Like everyone Simmon said to call a lawyer there would be a sheriff at my door within 24 hours. Then he hung up on me when I told him to go for it. Im not sure what they want, I could hear voice in the background. Something was said about 2000. owned. I guess if I had it they would have tried to get it out of me. Not sure what's going on but they need to be reported.  Thanks everyone for posting, after he hung up on me I checked the number out and saw everyone's post.

Have had at least 5 phone calls from 703-662-8286, 703-662-8286, and 703-879-6767 claiming they're the IRS and I'm in trouble with the IRS for fraudulent or no tax filing.  SCAM!

Received a call from this same number one at 10:00 AM and another at 10:11 AM. I agree with Aaron the accent!!

I have received no less than 6 calls today from this number.  I have the Xfinity App on my phone so I can see who's calling my landline at home.  I was able to block both numbers (they go back and forth between 8286 & 8287) but I called the number from my work phone just to see what they would say.  They actually answer "IRS Audit office."  I asked why they kept calling my house and when they told me it was because I owed back taxes, I told them they were full of s*** and if they called again, I would report them to the f****** police.  I really hope somebody stops these "people" because they take advantage of the elderly and the whole thing is so illegal!
