Just received a message stating I am hiding information from the government.

Just received a message from this number with a super creepy recorded voice saying that I am hiding information from the IRS/ government regarding my tax return. Definitely sounds like a scam. I get mail from the IRS for my small business and individual I come return all the time and have NEVER once received a phone call.

Claims to be the IRS filing a lawsuit against you and threatening an arrest warrant.

called me, called back they said they are Criminal Investigation

Scam, left message:
“Extremely time sensitive and urgent as after audit we found that there was a fraud and misconduct on your tax [sic] which you are hiding from the federal government this needs to be rectified immediately"

Fake IRS call

Got the same msg. Called back and asked what information I could possibly be withholding.  They asked me to confirm my name and apparently did not believe it is Mohammed...  Then they hung up without disclosing the purpose of the call.

IRS scam after several attempts to call them back and spoke to someone twice they hung up on me twice. Will be using my husbands phone to Harrass them later since they blocked me. Best way to get rid of someone call them over and over again until you are blocked.

Same call at my work number.  So infuriating - wish someone would stop these guys!

Fake IRS calling. How can Federal Govt and legal agencies let such fake call through. Hello is no one listening to these callers and put them in jail?

IRS scam.  This is the exact wording of the robot that called me.

"My name is Officer Marcus Brown and I am calling from criminal investigation division of IRS.  The matter at the hand is extremely time sensitive and urgent, as after audit, we found that there was a fraud and misconduct on your tax which you are hiding from the federal government. This needs to be rectified immediately so do return the call as soon as you receive the message.  The number is (703) 776-9266.  I repeat again (703) 776-9266.  Thank you."

Fake IRS call. If the IRS wants to investigate you for fraud, they won't call you.

703 776 9266 indicated they were from the IRS and that I needed to call them immediately regarding fraudulent IRS claim.
