Got a call from them today - claimed to be a home security system place...  Said they were going to have a representative in the area tomorrow and wanted to set up an appointment.  Would not provide a call-back number.

This appears to be a scam. They called me the night before on my cellphone and came up as annonymous. They claimed to be a security system's company. When I asked them to send me something in the mail they refused saying it's only an over the phone offer. The next day they called from 703-811-4563 and the caller ID came up as "Virginia". They left no message and I found no satisfactory result on google.

have been getting repeated calls on my- since I work from home,I answer with my company name-and there is no answer.  Repeat the company name and they hang up-  am on DNC, too.  number registering on caller id is: 703-811-4563.  Who are these people?

did some checking and other sites say is a security scam out of Virginia.  I live in Virginia and a couple of years ago, there was a scam in which a company would call and offer an 'over the phone only' deal to come out and go through your house and design a security system to meet your needs and your budget.  They claimed to have reps in your area, the next day, and ONLY the next day- It hit the local news big when many of these people had break ins within a few days to week, of the visit- this was one common link.  Most of the victims were elderly or single moms...  Don't know if it is the same outfit, but be cautious...

This people call my house today, asking for information, saying they are home Home Security.

A woman from this number called us today.  Said she is with "Home Security Services".  When I asked questions about her company she became very rude.  I reported it to the local district police with the phone number 703-811-4563 that came up on the caller ID but cannot be called back "not in service".  It was a quick and painless report over the phone, please take a minute and do the same if you get called by this number, these people are criminals that must be stopped!

This is a scam the phone number does not call back. Keep eye out for breakins

Be on your toes!  This is a credible threat!    

I recently had a Verizon FiOS landline installed in my home.  Now I am receiving calls from 703-811-4563, despite the fact we registered with the do not call registry.  After reading an earlier post on this site I called the local police (DC Metro area) and they sent an officer over to take a statement and a detective is supposed to call for further information.  I tried calling the number back and it says it is no longer in service.  However, I also received a call from 918-442-0950.  Caller ID lists the number as belonging to "Home Security".

If you receive calls from this number, please contact your local police!

We received a similar call on 17-June-2011.  We have Verizon services and had recently made a change to our account.  Verizon just now verified that our number remains unpublished, and I verified that we are on the do not call list.  

The caller was from a security firm, I did not pay attention to the details.   I cut the salesperson off noting that we were on the do not call list. She apoligized and said good bye.

Now, 21-June, we get another call from "Defcon Security" only I didn't cut him off right away because I was curious as to why Defcon would be calling me.  You see, Defcon is the name of a Internet/Computer security group....  The guy didn't get it.  He kept trying to get home security info from me.

I will call the police.
