An indian sounding person who could hardly speak english called claiming to be an officer for the IRS telling me that a claim is being lodged against me for tax evasion.

We got the same suspect message from "an indian sounding person who could hardly speak english" called claiming to be Officer Linda Watson from the IRS telling me that a claim is being lodged against me for tax evasion, and an invitation to call back with any questions I might have.
Interesting that the IRS never sent a written notice as they would if this was a legitimate communication...

I received the same message but I have not received any written coomunication and I know I would have. There didn't seem to be any directions

Same message as the others being reported , it was an Indian sounding accented IRS officer Christine Johnson relating to tax evasion.... glad I ran a Google check before calling back

I just received the same message as well from an Indian sounding man who claimed to be Officer Jason Miller. The incoming phone call was from an "unknown" number but instructed me to call this number.

I called back, don't know why I did! Got disconnected anyways.

Same here - income tax evasion, requesting to call 703-828-0319.  Lots of background noise, person
claiming to be "Officer Shawn Davis."  So thankful for this site to alert us to scams !

Officer Jason Miller also called me. When I called him a scammer he swore at me and hung up.

I got the same call 5 mins ago.  Indian sounding (no offense) Steven Benson claiming to be from the IRS Legal Investigative Service saying someone filed against me for tax evasion.  I did not call back.  Think I may call someone to try to look in to this.

Message left to call this number - Legal Investigative Division of the IRS- Tax Evasion charges were being filed.
Called back told them it was scam. Told me he would send me a love letter along with vulgarity and hung up.

Same Indian\Pakistani accent.  Definitely a fraud.

Definitely a scam and one that is running it course and being reported on the news.

Received same call from a middle eastern man. This time he is "Officer Richard Parker". Obviously a scam

Yup, I received the same call... twice in the same day, from Centerville, VA from a foreign speaking man claiming to be from the office of Mark Robinson from the Legal Investigation Dept. of the IRS. First time I hung up on him, the second time he called about a few hours later, he left a voice message......Persistent little creep.... I blocked the number will see how long it lasts. Don't get scammed.

Got a call saying either I or my criminal defense lawyer must call immediately or I will be arrested.
The first part of the message was cut off, but she spoke with a very heavy Indian accent and very quickly.

Same there. Just got two calls from this guy "Richard Parker." I just do not understand what he is trying to achieve here.. Hm... Hope someone will report on him.

I received same call from a officer Eve Johnson to return call before it went to court. Scam of course
