I received a call from someone that could hardly speak english, claiming to be from the IRS.  Asked did I have a legal rep. I told them I did not believe anything they said and to never  call my number again, I then blocked this number..

I also received a voice mail from someone with a thick accent claiming to be from the IRS. The message stated I was about to be arrested for tax evasion and needed to call them back.

Just got this same call from someone Who barely speaks English claiming I'm going to be arrested.

I just received the same call from 703-8280602 telling me, and my criminal counterpart, that we would be arrested if we didn't call the number.  I wonder if anyone is really naïve enough to fall for that line.  I'd love to hear that they were caught and charged with a crime.  Although, since they couldn't speak English, I assume they are foreigners and therefore "above the law"

I received the same IRS scam. I'm not going to just sit around on this one. I'm going to call the FBI as soon as I am finished typing this. I'll post my results.

Christine Johnson called and said that they had sent 3 certified letters and had sent a federal agent to my home.  They didn't know that they were talking to my sister.  She was tipped off when they used my maiden name and I have been married for 15 years.  They wanted her lawyer's name.  She told them it was Clarence Darrow.  They said that they would contact Mr. Darrow.  Good Luck with that.  My sister then called the woman a lying [***] and she responded in like and then hung up.   About 15 minutes later, Christopher Paul (Badge #5592) same phone number, this time asked for my mom. My sister asked for the husband's name.  He said Paul.  My sister told him, Clarence Darrow was their lawyer.  Then asked to speak to a supervisor.  Christine Johnson came on the line, recognized my sister's voice and hung up on her.

Same as above, didn't answer call, then they left a recorded message, threatening dire consequences if I didn't call the above number. I've reported them to the local police, and will do the same with the Feds. Question: If the NSA is recording all our calls, and can catch El Quaeda with their monitoring, is it too much to ask that they nail these fraudsters, too? Just saying....

i've been getting several calls a day the past couple days. I have not responded because i realize this this some desperate attempt to scare people into releasing info due to supposed IRS threats. I'm not sure how to block the number from my phone. I'd like to sue THEM for harrassment.....

Depending on who your carrier is,you could have call-block,and not even know it.
Comcast allows me to block all anonymous &private calls and up to 12( although I've read here it could be more) numbers you enter.
From what I've also read here, there are apps for cell phones for blocking.
My old Panasonic phones have a 30 call block ability( newer models have more).
There are also various call-blocking devices on the internet that seem to be reasonalbly priced.
Do a little checking, being able to block these calls makes a big difference!

Several calls a day from this number or related numbers. Insists that I call back the number, starting with "before you get arrested, call us back at..."
