Recorded message called with this Arlington VA phone number saying it was an investigator for tax evasion and I had better call them back or they were going to the police. Since I knew that would not pertain to me and it was a autobot call (no caller on the line) it had to be fraud.

The caller called on our cell phones and said they were from the IRS.  Why would the IRS call us on our cell phones?

DO not call back   It is a frauds. They just called us today as well

Called me 3 times today saying they were from Twexon Division of IRS and they had an affidavid that was going or from the police. Betcha it's a scam.

I just got a call from this number. An Indian girl who said she worked for the IRS and she needed to tell me there was a criminal case against me. I sid I was and FBI agent and she immediately hung up. FRAUD!

Two calls within two hours.  Heavily accented woman.  Left messages on our answering machine.  Annoying scam calls!

I keep getting similar messages as everyone else. I knew it was scam because any official business would come in the mail in writing. The woman had heavy accent and I barely understood what she was saying. I received the same message at least three times .

I just got 3 messages on my answering machine that are similar to others described...stating she has an affidavit concerning a tax evasion listing my name and if I don't return the call they will have report it to the sheriff and I will spent time in jail.It was also a heavy accented female voice....
Anyone know who we can report this scam to?

Total scam.  Originates in either India or Pakistan.  Ignore and block the calls.

Received two  messages from a caller with a heavy Indian accent claiming to be from the Tax Crime Investigation Unit of the IRS and to to urgently return call to 703 879 8361 or else the sheriff's office would be called. Scam.

Received a call from Agent Michael Black   who spoke with a middle eastern accent from the IRS wanted to speak to Bobby re: tax fraud and miscalculations...  while talking I could hear him eating something and I asked what he was eating and he said Lay's.  I told him that he was rude to do that while talking.  He said this was serious business that he needed to speak to Bobby immediately.  I told him he would have to leave a message that is when he gave me his name and phone # and said he had to call back or else and I said WOOOOO I am really scared.  He hung up.

Received a call from this number claiming that it was from the IRS. I could not understand much of what she said. Heavy foreign accent.

call about if you don't call them back, there will be a legal issue and they will call Sheriff

Just called today said tax evasion did not give out information and he got mad and hung up I knew it was scam!! Could not understand at all.

I received a call from this number today.  It was an indian woman (from India) saying something about the IRS, but the message broke up which made me suspicious.   Also - generally speaking, telemarketer's etc. do not leave messages.  They just keep calling which also made me suspicious so I googled the phone number and saw all of these posts about this number.  I have now blocked this number as well.
