- GaryH| 1 replyI can't believe how many numbers this National Recovery Associates has. At least ten. Maybe it IS the NRA. Anyone else here a member of the National Rifle Assoc? I am. They could be just calling members and former members for donations.
- Caller: Virginia Call
- Biscuit Eater replies to GaryHYep, I'm an NRA member. I didn't answer, and I believe it was Sunday afternoon when I got the call. I get two or three letters a week for member offers (life insurance, etc.), I get emails for surveys and merchandise offers, but I think this is the first phone call I've gotten.
- Biscuit EaterIncidentally, the call came from Herndon, VA, so it seems like this is probably the National Rifle Association.
- GunstonI too Iget at least one call a day from this number. Never a message left. I don't answer calls from area codes I don't communicate with. been calling for over a month. Reported to National Do Not Call Registry
- bobdid not recognize number answered call they asked to speak to me about donating to the nra ..i lied and said i was the brother of who they were looking for ..and i was interested in donating to nra ..they immediatly hung up
- PaulI don't know who is calling, but I do believe if it were the National Rifle Association, someone would be there to answer, or talk to whoever answered. They are a top notch organization, and they do nothing to irritate members, other than maybe too many pleas for donations, but just remember.....without the NRA, you probably wouldn't have any firearms.
- Not the NRA (National Rifle Association)Not the NRA. Believe it is National Recovery Associates, a debt collector bunch. They will keep calling forever until they find the person they think owes their sponsor money.
- Caller: National Recovery Associates
- Call type: Debt collector
- Jase| 1 replyWhen you call the number back, a recording identifies them as the National Rifle Association. It further states that they have important update information to give. My guess is that it is another plea for donations. Almost all the mailing I receive ask for a donation, I don't think this would be any different.
- Caller: National Rifle Association
- NE body will duGot this call a few minutes ago.
Comes in as "Cell Phone VA" on caller ID.
Picked up, dial tone, has been happening at least twice a day for the last 3 weeks.
I'm quite sure it's NOT the National Rifle Association with a CELL phone. - BobThey have been calling every few days but do not leave a message. I just called the number and it is a recording for the National Rifle Association. The message says that the reason why they called you is because they have important updates. I highly doubt it is the NRA as it doesn't sound right.
- BrianHad the National Rifle and Settlement Services call me and leave a message and found this thread https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-855-228-1212 as well as this one here talking about similar companies.
- Caller: national settlement and rifle services
- Jabba the HootNational Recovery Agency is in Harrisburg, PA.
This number originates from Virginia, where the National Rifle Association is located.
It's a solicitation call, and they're becoming a nuisance.- Caller: NRA
- Call type: Telemarketer
- lancelotIt is common for legal firms, debt collectors, & recovery agencies to list their phone numbers as initials or part of legitimate well known agencies such as NRA, AAA, CPA, etc to fool people into picking up the phone or defeat proper caller ID. They also utilize names that are confusing or that are not fully depicted on a caller ID screen in order to throw people - legal firms are especially good at this as they are masters at playing on the definition of words - let us just remember this famous quote: "... I repeat to the American public, I did not have sex with Ms L..."
Sad but true, Ciao, L- Caller: national recovery associates
- Call type: Debt collector
- josaysoIF you are a member of the NRA..... you need to call 1-800-672-3888 and remove your name from their call list! "DO NOT SELL, MARKET, or SHARE MY INFO and / or PHONE NUMBER! AND DO NOT THINK THAT I AM INTERESTED IN ANY OFFERS."
The guy could not verify that ALL of these calls are from them...... but they have a 'rule': Do not call more than once every 25 hours! WTHeck? That is ever so annoying!!!
Your phone number will be removed....
And remove your address from mailings!!!!- Caller: NRA
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Fed_upCalled here, and when I answered after about 15 seconds.. "CLICK"
What's the point of calling someone and then not having anything to say to them? Calls more than once a week.- Caller: NRA
- MDiverDNC list doesn't work ! Blocking doesn't work as they have more #s they can call you from than you can bock. The only real solution is to change to an unlisted phone # period. Then still you have to be careful when filling out anything where you are required to give your phone #. You don't know who will sell your # to solicitors.
- Call type: Debt collector
