just recieved call and called back, it was an answering machine that anounced, National Rifle Association! They never give up now a new area code 703.

"Centreville VA" showed up on the landlady's caller ID.

Just got a call today and was previously called Saturday! 1st call (703) 348-6523
VA, USA 2nd call from (703) 988-6387. Did not answer either phone call.

This is definately the National Rifle Association (NRA).

Received a phone call today from 703-988-6387.  No message left on answering machine.

Call came in at 5:43 p.m. on 7/15/2013. Caller ID identified call as "Out of area" 703-988-6387. It appeared to be a robo call, with no live person on the other end of the line.

I have been told that "out of area" calls can originate overseas or can be assigned numbers in which the telephone carrier has yet to update its subscriber records with the name of the person the number has been assigned to. I've heard other reasons for incoming calls to show "Out of area" as the caller, but the two possibilities given above are the explanations I've heard most often.

I have been a member of the NRA for many years, and  firmly agree with the right to bear arms, however I will not be renewing my membership anymore since I fell like I am constantly being harrased by beggers looking for a handout. I do not appreciate having beggers at my door, and feel this is the same  by having my phone ring at all hours several days a week and sometimes several times a day lookinf for a donation to protect my constitutional rights.
I am a member of several organizations, but only the NRA comes to me via the phone begging. My local authorities do not allow beggers on the street corners with signs "will work for food" and I fell they should not allow these beggers to come into my home via the phone liens as well.

my friend its really prob not the NRA; its prob some dif wing of the gov..sending these calls 2 piss people off for that reason. If the Nra dont get there money..We will be loosing are battle 2 bear arms even worse..

Got another call on Friday 8-2-2013 about 4:30 pm. Rang about 4 times and then hung up. They didn't leave a message so I *69 it and got the number 703-988-6387. I didn't call it back cause of all the phone scams that charge you if you call it back so I checked this website to see who it is but I see the different views on who it is. I don't have any debt so I don't know why a collector would be calling. We don't know anything about the Centreville Veteran's Association. We do support the National Rifle Association though.
It is true that they are always calling asking for more and more money. Who ever is making these hang-up and leave no message calls is very annoying. I've received many calls from this number at all times of the day and night, weekdays and weekends and would love it to stop. If it's important THEN leave a message or say something if it is answered. I hate to *69 the calls cause it costs me $1.50 every time I do and I receive these type of calls almost everyday and sometimes a few in a day and I get different numbers so it costs a fortune to find out the number that called. I would love to get on a no call list.

IF you are a member of the NRA..... you need to call 1-800-672-3888 and remove your name from their call list!  "DO NOT SELL, MARKET, or SHARE MY INFO and / or PHONE NUMBER!  AND DO NOT THINK THAT I AM INTERESTED IN ANY OFFERS."

The guy could not verify that ALL of these calls are from them...... but they have a 'rule': Do not call more than once every 25 hours!  WTHeck?  That is ever so annoying!!!

This is the second time I've seen you post this.  You sound like a schill for the brady campaign posting this and promoting that slogan when the other posters have clearly mentioned spoofing in regards to the actual NRA!   The real NRA will remove your phone number from their call list when requested.

My motto is  " Get your gun,  then call 911"    Let's see him rape with his [***] blown off,  while we both wait for the cops to arrive.    When my life and that of my family is at risk,  I prefer not to wait that half hour for the cops to arrive while someone kicks in my door and assults us.  When in this case,  I pull the trigger,  I expect it to last forever.
