"Firefighters" phoned my home phone line. No message left.

Got a call from 704-248-9016.  No name on caller i.d.  Tried to redial but always busy.

I received two calls from this number, only Charlotte, NC showed up on caller ID. I did call back and it was some steakhouse in Ballentyne.

This telemarketer called last week and wanted me to give to the Concord(NC) Firefighters. Apparently my wife did previously. I told him no and I thought that was the end of it. He then called back this week and hung up on me twice on Monday. I called the number back and it was either busy or no answer. The same number appeared the following night and when I answered, they hung up. Ten minutes later, the same number rings and I let my wife answer. The idiot asks for her donation. My wife asked to be placed on their Do Not Call list and would not let me talk to him. JERKS!

I keep getting calls from this number and they never leave a message or hang up when I answer the phone.  No name in the caller ID...just Charlotte, NC.  This has gone on the past two weeks and I am on the National Do Not Call List.  Anyone have any suggestions

i've been getting calls from this same number,704-248-9016, caller id,charlotte nc.
they never leave a message,and its getting to the point where its ticking me off,i also put my home number and cell on the national do not call list ,however the last 2 yrs its been just as bad as before,especially the ones that call and there recordings for whatever their selling.and its always at supper time,and even some are after 9pm at night.
I VOTE FOR THE DEATH PENALTY TO ALL PHONE SOLICITORS.

Same deal, 3 calls in a row on my answering machine but no message left.  I believe as the other post said that they actually have solicited my wife before when she has answered though.

Received a call from this number 704-248-9016, just says Charlotte NC on caller Id. We are on the national do not call list....From the response here, glad I didn't answer it...

Same story here.  Somebody calls from this number but hangs up as soon as I say "hello."  I call the number back, and there is no answer.

I don't answer because my neighbor had warned me. They do not leave messages I'm also on a do not call list.
What can we do to stop these people????

Same deal here.  They call and never leave a message.  I donated once and received tickets for some "concert".  But I don't believe its even legit.  They won't stop calling.

The so called "Firefighters fundraisers" spend the lion portion of the collected money for their de-jure "non-profit" organization.
The real firefighters get peanuts, less than 2% -5% or nothing, depending on the accounting & tax tricks the callers use.

Formally, they are covered to not respect "not-call" list.
De-facto, they are NOT non-profitable organization, and it's just one of financial schemes for people working from home.

The crooks call me each damned week. It's time to shut them down for ever.

If you need to donate to firefighters, go to them DIRECTLY. They don't need intermediators, stealing their money.

I totally agree with the post above. I have received many calls from this number and it's getting real old.  I do donate to the local group in my community as we all should if we can afford to do so.  I also called "Robert Nardone" from this post above and did get an answering machine with a statement "if you're calling about the add in the paper leave a message" and boy did I leave a message. Maybe we should all call Robert Nardone (704-331-9075) at 7:45 PM for a week so he knows how it feels.

Either way I have reported Robert Nardone(if that's real) along with his number 704-331-9075 and 704-248-9016 Caller ID: Firefighters Caller Type: Non-Profit Organization to the authorities.

Been calling for a few days Just called again 4 times in a row on Aug. 22 starting at 2:14 p.m. It interfered with an emergency call with my doctor as our call was dropped from their repetative dialing. I had waited all day for the doc to get back. Rec'd 2 mores calls from this number but they hung up.  Meanwhile, the doc couldn't get back in touch with me as they kept interfering with his call back.  Now I can't get him again because he's with patients. I am reporting this number. Yeah....I'm pissed. Being ill and disabled, I don't need this crap.

Just got a call at 7:52 pm from a John Huggins from Concord Firefighters Association.  Before he gave his speech, I said no thank you and hung up.  Did a #69 and found the phone number is 704-248-9016 but surfed net and found no such listing.  Also surfed net and no such association exists.  Called a friend who was a former Concord FF and they do not solicit over the phone.  This is a scam and you should notify your local police department.

I don't even live in the county Concord is in and am on the do not call list.  Would love to know how they got my unlisted, DNC phone #?  Think its random?

Received calls the last three nights on our unpublished do not call registered home phone. All hang ups.  When I call back, there is no answer - just continuous ringing.
