Another scammer posing as a debt collector, let it ring.

received a scam call from 210-714-2371 posing as a chief investigator trying to collect money for a check, saying that she will turn my information over to the Attorney General's Office of the US, these calls must stop, went to the FTC to have them arrested.

They ID themselves as Rapid Recovery Solutions.  

According to an entry on 800notes  dated 7-14-2014 (708-433-9414)

Typical debt scamming operation:

1) They don't send out  verification of the debt.
2) They  leave voicemails for anyone .
3) They're threatening jail time.
4) They don't leave the mini miranda informing you they are debt collectors attempting to collect a debt.
5) They're impersonating lawyers and officers of the government and court.

I have received numerous calls from this number. They automatically play a message saying they are attempting to recover money for a bad check, and if the call is returned they will have no choice but to pursue it to the fullest extent of the law. Then hang up. They asked for my son when the call was returned. Said they would have him arrested and that they already had a warrant for it. Interesting!! Seeing as my SON doesn't even write out checks!!

Scammer! Do not answer!!
I called them back and cussed them out!

They're back in business.
Robotic voice on message machine:  "We are calling concerning a returned item from your bank. If you do not return our call we will be forced to purse this matter to the fullest legal extent in your state."
I wrote one check last year, it cleared without incident.  Had it not cleared my bank would have first walloped me for a $35.00 finance charge.  Other account holders in this household have overdraft protection.
Sounds like a scam to me.
To file claims such as these anonymously with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau call: 855-411-2372.  The online form requires personal information to complete.
