it starts off with " if you are business owner and have been in business for... " another loan scam... telemarketer recording... how boring!

It's amazing how often and quickly these robocallers pop up, and how soon they get around to bothering me!

I don't answer numbers that I don't know, especially out of state

Just called our office. Didn't leave a message.

Caller rang twice in one minute; both times they hung up before I could answer.

IF the caller ID lists only a phone number or city, then obviously the caller wants to conceal their identity.

Here's the key question everyone needs to ask themselves:

Why would you want to do business with a company who's very first contact with you is rooted in deception?

I totally agree with you regarding not doing business with a company whose first contact is deceptive.  However, I know quite a few people whose caller ID on their cell phones just comes up as the state, not their name.  So that alone isn't necessarily indicative of a scam.

We have had the 704 area code blocked for over 2 years.  
Any calls coming from the 704 are blocked - forever.
We have found that blocking entire area codes works best for our home and our office phones.
Start the new year of right - please purchase a call blocking device that can block entire area codes as well as individual phone numbers.  These devices are inexpensive and they work!
Our phones do not ring when a blocked call comes in.
