I live in a different state in the US and my phone prefix reflects this. Text came in at 2 AM.

I got this in a text today.   I provide care to many ages of people and animals.
I texted back and asked their name and location.   No reply as of yet.  Only a few minutes, but I am in a limited area, far from this area code.
Funny it's the same message.

I received this exact same message from a different phone number, (865) 264-2351. I live in Northeast Ohio and the area code 865 is registered to Knoxville, Tennessee. Phone number was different, but the email address left at the end of the message was the same - afopears@gmail.com. I've yet to respond, but knowing this information, I'm going to [***] with this [***]. Oh, I'm a registered animal sitter with Care.Com and this is how I got found.

I got the same message from the Knoxville number today.  I'm taking my name down from care.com

I also received this message. Exact same thing and I live in Cleveland

Just received the exact same text. Only this time it is a 530 area code...which is California and I live in Missouri.

I just received this same text message today. Because I thought it was odd that the area code wasn't from the region I live in, I searched the email (afopears@gmail.com) and thank god I did because I was pretty excited for a second thinking I was going to be able to take care of some dogs. But, yeah, I closed my care.com account just now because of this. Never got any replies except for this one and I'm not okay with my information being out there for spammers like this guy.

I also live in Missouri and just received the same message...interesting.

I just received this message this morning from a 530 area code

i forget the number. traced the email that followed (ya, i know. stupid) to dublin. i await it's response now. the picture from the email is also a stock photo from a Tennessee man who might not know he is being used for this.

I got this text too!! Exact same message... What the heck is his motive??

Btw, he uses multiple numbers

He could have a work phone and a personal phone

I got the exact same message from 270-803-0925.  Email for response was m7755573@gmail.com.  Name comes up on Google as a Terry Ebarb.

Anybody have problems with phone or email or anything after these messages??  Are you all still alive??

I got the same message from the same number. We emailed for a little until I realized something was up. I'm glad I googled the number and came across this page to see its a scam. I also just got a message from 908-345-2481 saying his name is John...

Marnita, I received a text from the exact same phone number that referenced the email address of mc7755573@gmail.com. Emailed him and the response sounded okay, but I won't reply. He stated that he is a contractor who has to travel often for his business. The email response sounds legit but obviously isn't. Also am registered on care.com and sittercity.com, and have received other scam emails and texts.
