- D'BodiIt is a customer support line from Windstream. Normally not a problem. If you get a call from them you can call their main number 1-800-325-9415.
Ask the rep to track down the call to your phone. They keep a log of their outgoing calls. Sometimes their "payment reminder" service just doesn't work right. But their reps are usually helpful if you ask.- Caller: Windstream

- Just a girlThis number called me too so I texted it back thinking it was some one I knew...Normally if it's a land line it will send you a message back saying " Your message has successfully been delivered to a land line " , but I didn't get anything back at all. I call it and it gives me an error saying " We're sorry the transaction you made can not be completed at this time ". I don't have an account with Wind stream either...What's going on?
- Kate replies to AiraThis is exactly what keeps happening to me

- NebraskaI called a different number and spoke with a lady. After explaining that the transaction was completed by someone named Katie they put a call-back in for her to call me. This is Windstream. They had sent me a different modem to keep me as a customer. She said she would do it free of charge since it was a $100 item. And would waive the shipping. I had to call her as it did show up on phone bill. She adjusted my bill. Next month had the shipping charges show up. They claim I ordered this. Which I did not. I was trying to cancel the service. Can't do that in person in local office anymore. But guess what this modem wiped out my $50 rebate so I actually paid $50 on first phone bill plus taxes for a modem that burned itself up. And I can't get anyone to call me back. Then when you get locked out of your internet service and have to call trouble shooting, they are actually refiguring the settings on your computer from their end and said you should still get your rebate. So it is an ongoing saga that never gets any better. I sure did not plan on a $49.99 plan being over $80 a month when I signed up for a service that bumps you off worse than if you were on dial-up. Stay with your cable company. You will be much better off and won't have lousy service and no headaches. They say I did not sign a 2 year contract, but want to bet I can't get out of this mess till the 2 years is up. Then you can bet your bottom dollar I will not have a landline with this company. Sorry day when they came to Nebraska. Oh yeah, now they are claiming I need to put in new wiring and phone jacks. I rent from apt complex. Who do they think that I am going to pay for someone else's benefit. That is exactly why I no longer own a house.

- TrishAlthough Windstream does have an office in Charlotte, NC, this is NOT a Windstream office number so don't give them any personal info or respond in any way unless they leave a message and you can positively identify them as someone you do business with or know to be reputable.
caller ID is 704-814-2000- Caller: Unknown
- Jaron replies to kiggyChances are someone used your SSN to set up service with them. I've seen it happen before because I work for Windstream. Check into that. They'll ask you for your SSN to check it, we always do and we'll be able to tell you. If for any reason we find something we'll have a fraud form turned in to help you get it straight. Just look at the obvious. Scam? Hardly.
- AnnI sent a letter to Windstrem months ago asking for PDF's of my bill rather than paper. They called, told me they were working on that. Seriously, MONTHS later, they called to tell me PDF's were now available. That's is above and beyond customer service. I am not a big fan of Windstream byt this was good!
- patriciaI have started getting calls from this number lately. I find it rather strange since I have recently started working for them as an at home tech. I had no ides this was windstreamuntil i put this # into the internet to see if I could Identify it. The truly funny part is I do not have a landline nor a windstream account. THe only way they have this umber is through employment records!
- personI recieved a call from this number and I DO NOT HAVE SERVICE with them!
- Nats ReldasSaid they were from Windstream and asked me if any of my numbers were for a business. I said yes but I don't even have long distance on it. Said that by Federal Law they have to convert it to a business line but that it would actually be $5 cheaper than I am paying now. I told him that I am not interested. He threatened that someone might come out to determine if it was a business line. I told him that if Windstream wants to send someone that will actually cost Windstream $5/month less than be my guest. I told him that Windstream lied to me before when they offered to give me unlimited long distance cheaper than I a am now paying. I switched and it ended up costing me over $500/month more than I had been paying. Luckily I was able to convince my previous long distance carrier that Windstream "screwed" me and they re-installed my long distance lines. If this guy was really from Windstream then they are simply trying to pick up some money using some trick that they didn't disclose in this phone call.
