when i answered they hung up.when i called the num ber back it was not in service

I tried to call it back and it was not in service also.

Received the call at 7:12 PM on 2/2/10, had to say "hello" a couple of times but finally some man answered and he gave his name and the company he was calling from, I forget who or what the company name was, he asked to speak with me or my husband. I told him "they" weren't home and he asked when he could call back. I called the number back and also got the "not in service" recording. Strange.

Got a call from this number and the woman said, "She was calling from the "security company in my area" and asked if I owned or rented my home.  She never said which security company and right away it sounded suspicious.  I assumed she was going to ask me questions about my security system so I told her I don't answer personal questions via the telephone.  When I hung up and tried to call back, the number said it was not in service.  Very suspicious.

Got a call today from a woman asking for me. My wife said I was not available. She hung up. When I called back said phone not in service...Strange. You know they are up to no good when the phone they use is untraceable

Socially challenged male voice asked for me by first name and wanted to know whether I own or rent the property. He did not answer my, "Who are you?" I then heard clicking noises like machine typing but more rapid and hung up. Later called the number off the caller ID and learned that it was no longer in service. Using the Google ad on this page for "Find out who owns it" simply showed a map location for Morven, NC and then promoted a paid name tracing service, which I declined. I suspect that the call came from one of the unregulated government snooping agencies that dip into our taxes to support their cryptomania.

I too just now received a phone call from this number and just like the rest of you I called back and it was not in service. And the caller ID said Morven, NC. I suspect that they are getting the names of people who have recently moved (bought or renting) or switched utilities over to another property.

It's a call out number, only. Obviously a scam.

Just received a call from an older woman who was obviously a smoker. No one has my number. I just had this number connected two days ago. She also knew my last name. Which I found to be odd. Going to report them to FCC.

they call me everyday 3 times a day is there any way to stop them from calling?
