It is Nascar Illustrated magazine. Called me to leave a messege about my subscription to the magazine.

Mine was for the Nashville Business Journal.  No problems.

Mine was Sports Business Journal

Message from San Francisco Business Times calling to confirm the correct subscription address; call back number mentioned was 866-815-4892

They called my number but I let it go to voice mail which of course they chose NOT to leave a message.  One would think if their stuff was that important, they might leave a message.  I guess they don't even think their own crap is worth going further with.

I used to subscribe to a business journal so from what I have read so far; they are probably trying to sell that kind of stuff.  Shoo, go away!  If I wanted to renew I would have, duh.

Mine was Tampa Business Journal to renew subscription...

San Antonio Business Journal wanting us to renew.  But when called asked for our company name as the contact person.  Our company name doesnt come no where close to a persons name, not too bright! And we wont be renewing if you hire not so bright people who broke up a company name into a persons name and ask for them.  Shaking my head.

We are on the Do Not Call registry and these calls are a nuisance.  I wish they would stop using the phone to market and figure out that if I want to subscribe I will.  Oh, and leave a message.  Not leaving one is spammy!

Triangle Business Journal to renew subscription... call back number was 1-877 number

I just got this call.  They started by asking if I was <Name of my business>.  I said yes.  They said then that they needed my address.  When I asked who I was speaking to, they said they were with American City Business Journal and were processing a refund.  I confirmed my address (hey, my business address is online, and on the off chance she wasn't lying, its free money).  But then she called back a minute later, and asked if my company was associated with a different company.  When I said no, she said she made it sound as if the refund may not be forthcoming.  Very shady business practice.

The caller from this number wants my company to renew their product.  However, I get the calls several times a day, M-F.  I never answer and they never leave a message.  Very annoying tactics.  I don't care if the product is legitimate; their calling practices are not.  Get a clue...I'm not renewing and I'm not going to talk to you, so stop calling.

Don't bother with these websites, they produce no results. File your complaints directly with the FCC at http://www.fcc.gov/complaints.

Confirmed, this is a subscription-related call from American City Business Journals.

Basically same for me...business journal...however the RED FLAG for me was they had my subscription expiring 2 weeks ago...I have at least 5 more issues before renewal time.  Will continue to do business on line and NOT give out payment info on the phone.
