This number keeps calling at least once or twice a day. Nobody answers on the other end and when we try to call back we get a busy signal every time. I don't get it...

this is a scam, it is a spoofing number used by pakies to hijack your computer, they will tell you that u have viruses or a hacker on your pc and try and get you to let them have access DO NOT EVER LET ANYONE HAVE ACCESS TO YOUR PC!!!!!!!!

The telephone number of 705-495-6305 just started calling my family's phone number at home today. My wife answered 2 times earlier but nobody would talk and they would hang up on her so I picked up on the 3rd call in the evening because I thought maybe if a man answered instead then maybe whoever it was on the other end might speak next time around. Sure enough the East Indian sounding person started to talk but I was so peeved in thinking how these scammers keep harassing good people that I exploded and called him every vile words I could think of and he soon was threatening to kill me, screw my wife, my kids", etc and I was LoL because I know if this POS tried saying that crap in my face I would tie him into a knot and ship him back in a tiny box wherever he was calling from. Personally I think this guy isn't using his real telephone number because I can't find his address and it's a good thing too because he would have been killed by now by some other angry person he was harassing or victimizing. Anyways, don't put up with these guys, folks. Tell them off and make them angry like I did and they will eventually give up and move on to the next person to try scamming. These scumbags need to die a quick and painful death, imo...

Wow, these guys are pushy, I walked through part of their scam (because I have a little Linux install on an old laptop so I thought it would be fun). Of course the software didn't work that they tried to get me to download. I repeatedly asked them for the company name and it was always "Windows affiliated with Microsoft." I tried to explain that an actual Microsoft rep wouldn't NEED to use a third party program to get into my computer (MS has Remote Desktop built in for that) and that there was no way they could have gotten my phone number from the "error messages" my Windows computer was sending them.

The guy got angry and hung up when I told him that I had too many computers in the house to be able to know which computer was sending the errors without a MAC address. Further, the only Windows 7 computer I'm using is licensed through a university so even if they had access to the activation key or other identifier there are likely a few hundred machines running it and the phone number would be at the university.

Simple rules: Neither Microsoft nor "Windows" care if your computer is full of viruses. Your phone number is not connected to your internet packets. A Microsoft employee will never call you and ask for direct access to your machine.
