I , too , filled in the information at that address you gave. They called me back and told me they are a third party promotional agent for Bell Canada . I could get a free dish, two free boxes for free all for $48.00 ( two hundred channels). I call Bell , they've never heard of this . They do not give away dishes or boxes.   705-521-6526 I call this number they said they are called Tip Communications and are in Sudbury Ontario .......No such number no such phone.  Bell says its a scam!!

I too fell for this scam... Unfortinatly i gave out more info.. then I should have... I certainly wasnt thinking at time... I contacted Bell Canada and they told me it was indeed a scam.... I have had to change all my personal I.D. I've had to change account # and even close out my Bank Account and open a new one... I've been told that if anything seems to be to good to be true... then it probably is... Always check with your provider before you make any decisions... I know I will from now on..

I received a call from them pretending to be BELL CANADA and offering free receivers without any catch or commitment. I was surprised but the CSR convinced me there is no catch and I agreed. Then came the spooky part. She first wanted a piece of ID ror the Purolator guy for ID. I gave her my Drivers licence number. Then she wanted me to provide he my bank account details or credit card number. At that time I realised I may have been a victim of identity theft.

PLEASE STAY AWAY if anyone calls from this number.

I too tried this number and got the girl on the other end.She wanted my DL number but my wife convinced me  not to because she works for a bank and they get alot of fraud alerts. She called Purolator the next day and found out that they donot require any ID just the address of the home. They only need ID when you go to the Purolator depot to pick up anything.SO STAY FROM THIS SCAM

I saw the ad on Facebook and called in and spoke to Stacey.  She also took my information and driver's license.  A Bell PVR arrived.  An installer is expected next week.  Stacey said I would call the Bell TV number, I think the 1-888- SKY-DISH number to set up the service and arrange for payment...

I've sent an email to Bell to find out if they're legitimate.

I saw the ad on Facebook and filled out survey last week. Got a call today & CSR just asked for last name & driver's license.

She said I have 90 days to get the install done & they will be sending PVR & 2 Receivers. Now I think about, Is it legit. I asked about details of TV package, She had no idea. She promised to send me details in the email as she already had that on file.

Let's see what you find from Bell

I called Bell and they confirm that the company is legitimate.  TIP Communications is affiliated with them and they were able to confirm from their system the date and order number for my free installation next week.

I wonder why Bell Canada said this was a scam when you called, and today when I called the Bell TV contact number, they confirmed that the company behind the ads (TIP Communications in Sudbury, Ontario) is legitimate and affiliated with them.  I hope you didn't have to change all of your information for nothing.

Oddly enough, the email that I received back was much more vague and much less helpful:

"In my intention to help you, I checked the website that you have
provided and I noticed that at the bottom there is a provision that
states, 'Bell Canada is neither the owner nor the author of this website
and assumes no responsibility for its contents or updates. Bell can not
guarantee the accuracy or timeliness of the information presented on
this site. The Bell logo is a trade mark of Bell Canada, used under
    license.'

Please be informed that the official website of Bell is www.bell.ca."

So that individual neither confirmed nor denied that TIP Communications is affiliated with Bell.

    Another email from Bell:

"We understand that you have received information from TIP
    Communications.

We appreciate your feedback. We have checked the website http://www.getabell.tv/site,
and TIP is not in partnership with BellTV. Might as well, TIP
Communications is selling BellTV receivers. They have stated on their
required information section that 'Bell Canada is neither the owner nor
the author of this website and assumes no responsibility for its
contents or updates. Bell can not guarantee the accuracy or timeliness
of the information presented on this site. The Bell logo is a trade mark
of Bell Canada, used under license.'

That is the reason why my colleague Karen provided you the contact
number of our Direct sales department. To be safe on our part, the
department is designed to answer questions in regard to our products and
    promotions. "

This one contradicts the phone information from Bell's CSR, and doesn't fit with the fact that the receiver I got is free and Bell confirmed that the installation will take place next week and is in their system as free.

And to add to the confusion, a final email:

"We thank you for your response. BellTV does not know how TIP runs their
promotions or how they sell their products. TIP is an independent store
who has their own procedure on how they operate their business. TIP
would tie up their promotions with ours from time to time depending on
the market, and it should not be confused with any of the promotions
that BellTV would offer their customers directly.

I checked the order of the confirmation xxxxxxx, and there is no
installation fee based on the items ordered.  Since you already have the
receiver and is considered as a new customer, that would be the reason
why the installation fee is free."
