This is a scam - be extremely careful! They wan to "fix" your computer. I didn't get through the entire call before hanging up because I've heard of these types of scams before where they get you to install mal-ware or something. Do not give them any info or go to any website they direct you to!

Computer scam and they refused to identify them selves when I asked. They'll tell you windows is no longer covered under warranty or is infected with viruses. As stated above DO NOT give them any real information of go to websites they ask you to or your putting your computer(s) at tremendous risk if you do. They call from a variety of numbers about two to three times a week here no matter whether you ask them to remove you from their list or not.

Then you tell them you run Mac's in your home exclusively and it stumps them lol.

    I''m in Ontario, Canada.

I got a call on my cell. The lady was really hard to understand but she did say my computer is not getting the proper updates and asked if I was aware of that. I told her I wasn't going to discuss and hung up.

My neighbour had a call similar to this too telling her about her PC (she only has a Mac so the conversation also didn't go any further).

    I'm in British Columbia, Canada.

If you get these calls on a cell...send them cell to land line text messages.  They will probably stop calling.  I've had luck doing this.

I just received a call from this 706-229-8665, the man with a foreign accent said he was from Microsoft & that my computer was infected with viruses & wanted me to do some stuff to my computer. I refused giving any information......I said give me a number to call back, he gave me 347-474-0448. I googled both numbers & gathered information these foreigners are scammers. I then contacted Microsoft Corporation at 800+642-7676 & spoke to there representative & was told these people are definitely scam artists and that Microsoft would never contact anyone by phone unless the consumer contacts Microsoft themselves................***************so be aware these people are big time scammers***********

Mine was about getting a $100 Wal-Mart gift card voucher. Then I quit answering her as if we had been disconnected. It was fun hearing her try to get my attention. After about 3 minutes I finally spoke and told her I was not interested.

Got a call from some guy with a thick Indian accent. Said he was from "tech support" and he was "receiving errors from my computer." I laughed so hard I think I may have hurt his ears! Anyway, hang up on these idiots or do something creative to annoy them or waste their time. They are obviously trying to get people to infect their own computers with malware or something underhanded like that.

I have received 4 calls total from this number, when I answer and say hello its dead and I get disconnected. When I call the number back it claims I have a 100.00 gift card for target or walmart and press 1 to collect it... then it places me on hold. I hung up and I'm not going to waste anymore of my time. Got to love scam artists!! NOT!

I received this call earlier and it went to my answering machine.  I have a very lengthy message in which the caller repeatedly begs me to turn on my computer because I have a virus and they need to fix it for me. The accent is so strong that I could not identify what tech support they claim to be from, and you could hear several "techs" in the background saying the same thing to others.  Obviously they had an answering machine, but yet they continued to beg.  SCAM!

When I answered a call from this phone number they wanted to sell me an extended repair warrantee for my automobile.  So, just be aware they rotate their pitch are more than one East Indian scam house uses this phone number provided by a company in Las Vegas, Nevada. Nice!  I wonder how that happens?  But like in the big beautiful housing market crash.  Where's the consumer protection agency today????

They called me about 4 times the last two days and it was an Indian guy on the other end who says his name is John and was wanting me to extend the warranty on my car but was like you have "05/"06 car, my car is an "11. Then when I told him I couldn't talk bc I was at work he called me again and on the fourth time I re-told him everything I had on the first call, his demeanor changed and he state why are you wasting my time and hung up on me. When I tried to call back to complain on him, it stated about a hundred dollar gift card to Walmart! It is a SCAM!

Phone number shows up as out of area. They give you their "name" and say they are with Microsoft "tech support". Now just "tech support". I only let them get as far a 'this is about your computer" and tell them I don't discuss my computer on the phone with anyone and hang up.  Don't feel bad about doing this at all. The first time they called this spring, I went along with them until he handed it over to another person to deal with me as I didn't know how to do what they were asking me to do and then I had both of them using fowl language at each other in the background. That's when I realized they were not from Microsoft and hung up.
My oldest daughter knows more about computers than they do and is self-taught.. She stumped them when she asked them to tell her what her IP address was.  And how could you know I have something "wrong" with my computer when I don't allow Microsoft access to my computer?
They are getting very annoying because they call several times a week for the last six months.  You would think they would realize they are calling the same number and getting the same reaction, that is hung up on.   Oh well I will just keep hanging up on them.

I got a call from this number this evening and the guy wanted to sell me an extended warranty for my car. First of all, the guy's accent made him VERY hard to understand. Secondly, there was so much background noise(chatter, indescribable office-like noises, bodies being dismembered) that is was nearly impossible to hear the guy. What makes these morons think that they can sell anything when it sounds so unprofessional? I'm not sure they could sell water in the desert using their tactics. Christ, I'm so SICK of these calls. And, yes, I'm on the "do not call" list. Lot of good it did signing up for that. ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
