Called here now. I am usually at the top of the list for new numbers calling! Have no idea either who it is.

They've called twice tonight. No one on the line. Caller id say "Athens call"

I got a call just now. I did not answer.

Called fifteen minutes ago. Called back got a busy signal. Caller ID showed Athens Caller.

Returned the call and it said the phone was disconnected...but they had just called and I didn't get to the phone in time.

They called just now, I didn't answer. No message left. I did not call back.

They called at 8:39 p.m. tonight but neither my husband nor I answered the phone because we didn't recognize the number and don't know anyone in Athens, Georgia.

Called me earlier this evening. Completely missed the call. I do recall taking a survey the other day that did ask for my number though. Anyone else do a survey?

Called at least four times back to back. We answered and there was no one there. Could not *69 it or call it straight out. And it was nearly 9 pm. Frustrating too, because we do know people in Athens.

I have received several calls from this number, multiple times a day, for the past two weeks.  Like many people posting to this website, I called the number back and learned it was a "non working number."  I called my telephone service provider in an attempt to block the call.  They advised that I have been a victim of a huge problem people are experiencing on home phones called "spoofing."  It has been happening on cell phones for a while longer.  Hackers are "stealing" working telephone numbers and using it to make calls in an attempt to reach a person.  If you answer the call, you "tell" the hacker that your number is a working number--and  a "survey" occurs where the hackers try to get you to provide personal information.  The survey sounds very official.  My phone service provider said there is a loophole in existing federal laws that does not make this activity illegal.  The FCC is aware of it, but want victims to report calls they receive to them.  Their number is 1-888-225-5322.  My telephone service provider said the FCC is collecting data on where all these calls are received, and will use the data in order to get the laws changed.  So--rule of thumb--do not respond to any surveys whatsoever, and REPORT THIS CRAP TO THE FCC!!

Also--I wish to add one more telephone number to the spoofing watch list:  It says "Marietta, GA.  678-383-0630."  It is also a hacked telephone number that has been spoofed to make robo survey calls to steal your personal information.

Please share this information with everyone you know and let's beat these low-lifes at their own game.

Have got multiple calls from this number in the last week. They usually call in the evening and don't leave a message. Another scammer call.

The company behind these calls is a political survey outfit, "20/20 Insight, LLC" in Athens, GA) and the calls are robocalls.  Since political organizations are exempt from the "do not call" regulations, you can tell them to drop your number from their list:

http://www.2020insightllc.com/do-not-call/

They appear to be mostly used by the Democratic party.  I don't do telephone surveys because the questions are always couched in the way they'd like you to answer.

I have received multiple calls from this number, mostly in the evening over the past few days. They never leave a message. I don't answer calls that I don't recognize, and based on the comments here and the random times that they call, it seems like just another spam caller.

Started again tonight. Last time said Athens caller. This time 20/20 Insight. What a pain in the rear.

keeps calling
if I answer there is no one there
if I don't there is no message
can't call number back
this is harassing bs that I want to stop

They call every single night between 8:30 and 9PM. No message left on machine. In fact, I can tell they have disconnected before my greeting on machine is finished. EVERY night. Getting old.

They called 5 times today...I added them to my blocked call list...Athens GA...they don't ever leave a message.

Another "678" - 678-918-4908 -- From Adairsville GA, black voices soliciting money for Children Cancer Fund.  If these folks are misleading contributors, they should be banished to hell!  I keep a list of all numbers like these; paying attention to especially the prefixes.  Sooner, or later, I will present the list to Congressman Doug Collins, and have legislators pursue criminal actions against these folks that intrude upon our right to NOT BE DISTURBED.

Athens Caller, called over 6 times in last week alone, usually between 5-9 Pacific time.
