Yes, called and I answered.  Wanted my husband - was a collection agency said collecting for Household Bank.  Said had a $6K balance unpaid, but he has never had an account with Household.  Said they had sent the initial demand letter (regulatory requirement) but has been a week and we haven't recieved it yet.

All part of the lies extortion scammers use to try and steal your money. The second red flag is demanding x amount like they are cutting you a deal today and then wanting you to get a green dot or similar card that is untraceable to pay it.
