I keep getting calls from 706-405-2236, when I asked to be placed on a do not call list they hang up on me.  

706-405-2236 is also sending spam faxes.  They tried twice today.  Caller ID said Health Assistance.

Caller ID showed as "Health Assistant (or Assistance)".  I answered thinking it might be one of my doctors, etc.  Recording:  "Hello.  You might qualify for free dental care.  Press one to take a brief survey...blah blah..."

I hung up.  Keeping track and will report to FTC if any further calls.

this number called my caller ID said HEALTH ASSISTAN-I almost answered but remembered my Ins co number thought it may be some sort of scam I am supposed to be on the no-call list with the state but I guess these people as well as others don't care well I don't care, I just want answer if I don't know who they are

Unfortunately, you can not stop whoever this is calling.  They have been calling us since last February.  As soon as you block one number, they switch to another area code and number and skip all over the US (not even sure coming from US).  They also vary their name(s) ALERT, Health Assistant, Out of Area, Unknown, etc., what ever suits.  Same voice, same rustling of papers. Last winter, got to speak to one person and told them they were fraud but obviously does no good.  My husband had just been at ER prior to this and was so upset, called and accused hospital of giving out his info which they denied.  Also, notified insurance of same.  Would love to get a lot of money from these people if I knew how to sue and I do not believe in lawsuits per se.   Also, they are not "telemarketer", needs to show category of scam!

I, also, am on the National No-Call List.  Receiving calls from this number.  When answering machine picks up, caller hangs up.  Caller ID shows "Health Assistance".

My last remaining sibling, who lives a thousand miles away,is in serious condition,  I keep the phone line open for calls concerning her condition and care.  I do not appreciate these annoying calls for no purpose.

I reported them at the DNC web site.  Everyone should.
